"It's like driving a Dragster on the street!" is my description of riding (rather piloting) the Vmax. The bike has a 1200cc 4cyl engine with 4 carbs and a shaft drive that runs 0-60mph in 3 seconds and the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds! The top speed is 150mph+ or is realistically limited by your good sense... Many modifications are available to make the bike much quicker due to restrictions by the EPA and import/export laws.

This is a modified Yamaha V-Max, the stock V-Max's are the fastest quarter-mile production bikes. These baby's sounds like Detroit V8's and they've got power to back it up.

.. I reccoment watching the " Going for a ride..(100mph+) " video. It's a blast.

i like sports motorcycles more, the ones u can do wheelies on, and they are much faster then that big and heavy motorcycle

There actually only faster high end, this will beat the **** out of any sportbike on the quarter-mile. The only bike that compares is the new Harley Davidson V-Rod. This is the hot-rod of bikes.

Actually, it can, see sport bikes, if you accelerate hard they pull a wheelie as fast as hell, the hayabusa will kick the VMax's arse top end. The V-Max is all about low-end torque. The picture you posted the eagle is holding a Kawasaki ZX-12R.

You really should see some Hayabusa videos before you say that. It reaches 60 in under 3 seconds and the quarter isn't much more after that.

That DustMax doesn't look all that fast compared to some other videos I've seen. But nevertheless, it's fast enough for a bike.

I was talking about stock V-Max's, they run mid/high 10's. The V-Max in the video is supposed to do 0-60 in 3 seconds to. I think that's what it says on the website.

Wow, didnt think this bike could do a 1/4 mile in the 9's.

I wouldn't be surprised if the V-Max in the video can.

Suzuki Hayabusa (New!)
year 2002
Horse Power 160
1/4 mile time 10.2
1/4 Speed 136MPH
Top speed for the Hayabusa is over 200MPH.

I don't think so sUn. Stock Hayabusa wins.

That bird is a japanese Peregrine falcon which is where the name Hayabusa comes from. I have seen hayabusas run mid 9 seconds on the 1/4 stock. Heh heh I didnt feel like photochopping in the vmax.

My bad too, V-Max runs under 10 seconds(What I said before was wrong, it does not run mid/high 10's.). There something called V-Boost in it, Above 6000rpm or so a valve opens to allow the cylinders to breathe from two carbs instead of one. This is basically like a built-in NOS, but it's not NOS, it's real power. Hayabusa can't match it low-end. Espacially quarter-mile where you can have the bike revving over 6000RPM and have the V-Boost valves open, the green light goes and your off. If your going longer than quarter-mile, the Hayabusa's top end will come in.

But the funny thing is the V-Max still hasn't been re-designed since 1985, which was the first year of the V-Max, in that year the V-Boost kicked in from the start therefore it was too powerful so the year after they made it so that it would kick-in at 6000RPM, since then only minor modifications/tweaks have been made. It's still an old design, the re-design is supposed to be in the works.

Why did you/he/whoever do the burnout with water under the rear wheel?

I'm sure it's quite fast, but I'd still rather have a sport bike (or a chopper). I don't really care too much about 1/4 mile times. That isn't why I would buy a bike. Cornering is where it's at (or just cruising in the case of the chopper).

I don't think it was water. I think it was bleach. If you do a burnout ontop of bleach, you get lots and lots of white smoke.

No, Sunny, the V-max will lose. Trust me.

well who cares about the tests...the facts are that sport bikes are better, u can learn how to do tricks on them, they are better looking, much lighter even though they weigh like a ton, and u can get more chicks on sport bikes....and have more fun with them

I'd like to see a video of it for actual proof. It's quite interesting, I know the V-Max can beat it but I just can't find the evidence to post it. I'll look through some of the hundreds of Cycle Canada and various other magazine's my dad has.

Shut the **** up. Your trying to tell me the only type of bike you can do a trick on is a sport bike? I recomend you get some serious help. 👍

Edit: Go and get your fact's straight.

much lighter even though they weigh like a ton

Point noted, there lighter than the V-Max. They don't weigh a ton, unless you think 400 pounds is a ton. Sheesh!

I know what the Hayabusa is, I've read it go upto 300KM/H. I like how that website has 2002 models, then has a V-Max that's from 1998. Half of the bikes on that website are not stock " Turbo R1." Does that sound stock to you, Integra?

Well in that case, that puts the Hayabusa in the #2 spot. I also doubt the year is going to matter. You said that the "V-Boost" or whatever it is has always been there so why does the year matter?

After doing some research your right, Hayabusa's are faster than V-Max's. 👍 Meh, I lose. The V-Max still owns though.

See, not that hard.

Very hard. ;)

Appologizing for being such a jackass without backing up with stats.

Do I have to say this again, shut the **** up. I was only stating what I knew, I don't see what you stated so why do you have to butt in. God, use your brain before posting ****. 💡
