The Entire City Open????

I thought the entire Vice City was supposed to be open at the beginning of the game? There are road blocks on the major streets though. Are there some secret jumps or something that I haven't found yet to get me to the other parts of the city?

That was just gossip before the game came out.

Just do the missions, MP. The whole city opens up much faster than GTA3 did...
 
Originally Rockstar was going to have the entire game open from the very start, but during one of the summer previews at gamespot I read that they changed their minds.
 
It doesn't take long to get it all opened up :smilewink
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I did open up the middle island last night after beating a couple of more missions. Now they only guy I can get missions from is Diaz. If I remeber correctly, I do a couple missions from him then back to Cortez, then the rest of the city opens up right?
 
I thought as soon as you opened Diaz, the entire island was open...

Perhaps not. I don't remember exactly.
 
Yea Diaz is one of the main guys, I won't spoil the storyline but you and him won't always get along :smilewink
