Fastest in what? Straight line speed? Cornering?
The Espirit wins on the straights, no contest. Not sure about cornering though.

both really, say which is fastest round a certain track e.g. top gear test track

-edit- actually lets rephrase that which is the overall best lotus on gt5?

I rarely drive on the TGTT, so can't really help there.
Though if you're looking for consistency, I'd go with the Evora. The Espirit is very sensitive to any kind of throttle input when cornering.
The Elise is pretty damn great once you got a spoiler on it, but unless your going to tune it, it's quite slow on the straight.

hi guys, just out of interest, does anyone know what the fastest lotus is on GT?

The Race Modified Elise's are always going to be quick, but for a road car then the Evora is very very fast, but also the Esprit 350 from the Used Dealer is a real dark horse.

Get the 350 'dialled' in and it can seriously kick ass against many other road cars of equal PP points. It's a seriously quick car.

But as mentioned in other posts above - what are you defining as quick??

Acceleration, top speed, handling..??

Also, are you talking stock car or modified, maxed out...??

You need to be more specific really and provide more details..

Bends, elise 111r rm.
Nice mix of both, evora.
Straights, esprit.

^^ Someone hasn't RMed the '96 or driven the Motor Sport Elise '99. Both beat the 111R (RM or otherwise) hands-down. BTW, the MS Elise can be lowered 45mm below its stock position (absolutely SLAMMED). Just saying.

Someone hasn't RM'd the 114R, it walks over any other Elise once tuned. its possibly the best handling car in the whole game.

I'm a second quicker around Rome in the RM '96 than the RM 111R, on RH tires. Most other tracks (Rome is short and uncomplicated) give me enough time and turns to give me an even greater lead. I'm an Elise fanatic, from the early models to the 111s and the Type 72. I've tuned the crap out of all of them and have lande on the RM '96 and the Motor Sport Elise '99 as being the best performers.

I would have to say the 111R is the fastest on a track . I just ran a 7:41 on the ring in my 300hp non RM 111r, which I'm sure could be much faster with better driving. And it's great fun too

Hi, The Lotus Esprit Sport 350 '00 (UCD) can be tuned to 715Hp @ 1082Kg but it's a brute to handle. I've tried tuning the suspension but can't get it. Let me know if you do...Have fun.

I find the below website with links to tunes people have done a fantastic resource. The 350 has two links to tunes, try them both and see if they help you. I've used Praiano's tunes on a few of my cars and he has one of the two tunes for that car so you might be in luck

That actually about 41 sec slow bud :sly:

Hi, A little off topic but the Veyron's suspension can be tuned to make it "not bad" see "tuning forum" and as far as Jay's Tank Car...just hit 'em...Have fun.

I have 7 of them in various stages of tune (and different original colors). I'm more than familiar with the car but the sheer mass and dimension, not to mention the 4WD drivetrain, make the car understeer horribly no matter how much time you invest in tuning.

The Lotus Elise 111R is an epic car and its probably one of the best cars in the game, I was in an online race last night, sports soft tires, 520PP max, against 11 others on Laguna Seca, I started in second place, and took first place at the first corner and lead the field until the corkscrew and I spun out, and I was pushed back to 9th and I managed to catch back up to the person in 5th place when I spun at the corkscrew yet again(the car hates that corner). I then got pushed back to 10th, and managed to catch the 3rd place car on the 3rd lap of 5, and he went to wide into a corner and didn't see me, so I went into the sand, and ended up in 6th, I then drove hard for the next 2 laps and managed to take 3rd, even after all that! Get the Elise 111R, you won't regret it.

What about the Carlton?

You don't hear to much about that one, I should take mine for a spin and see how it compares to the other Lotus'.

It's a little disappointing. The power and weight should make for something even somewhat decent but it just doesn't compare to the other Lotus cars.

Depends on what tires he is using. The recorded time sofar for a stock car is 7:51 or something.
I'm thinking it was on sports hard, since that's usually the only tire I race on. I'd have to check to be sure, but there is about a 5% chance that it's Racing Hard and not Sports Hard. NEVER Racing Soft though. :) Even on Comfort Hard, it feels pretty firmly planted.

What about the Carlton?
My carlton is a torque-ey car but not really fast. Not bad though.

The motor sport elise once it's dialed in can destroy every track. You get full tuning capabilities and more downforce. There is some lag with that turbo though; it's all top end.
