I have my corvette 67 convertible fully tuned and messed with the settings and got better acceleration and cornering but that lead Camaro SS is a pain in the a*!
I can barely even get it in my sight.

I ended up resorting to trying to cut through as many corners as I can with ALL assists on.

Corvette rm is the best bet for this event.

Have you tried changing the tyres? I used a modern 'vette ZR1 from the premium garage and I only added racing tyres but won.

I beat the race with a lap lead on the 4 last racers with the Corvette RM, I overtook the Camaro by the 3rd lap, so get cracking man, it's more than possible :D

Why would you have all assists on? That's just going to slow you down. A lot. Did you put racing tires on it? If not, that should easily give you the win. I won with a stock ZR1 with just an oil change and racing hards.

If you can't win it in a fully modded '67 Vette with racing softs, try a different car. Get the new ZR1 or Z06 and mod it up completely including race mods and you should beat it incredibly easily.

Corvette ZR-1 RM will get you there.

yah this challenge was almost more then easy with rm vette?

i almost thought of it as giving away free credits

This was the easiest one yet! I spun two or three times and still managed to lap a few cars... they really should think about putting a recommended car in the info for people who want a proper challenger.

I used the ZR1 RM as well and was driving like stevie wonder for the first 2 laps since I forgot how to drive the car. I still won easily.

Moved to the Seasonal Events section.

I beat this with a mildly tuned ZR-1. And caught the Camaro on lap 4. First try too.

beat it! Finally!

Did you wind up beating it with the same Vette, or did you choose another one? Cause I was thinking about buying one of those anyway, and I like more of a challenge than just using my RM Vette to clear a field of cars with half of the horsepower.

Chose the ZR1 and upgraded like crazy, then tuned it so it speed out of turns as quick as possible.

Ok so my best time in the stock ZR-1 with oil change and TCS 1 was 1:43xxx
and my best time with a stock C6 Z06 with oil change TCS 1 was 1:44 dead. I thought the ZR-1 was a lot quicker, but it seems to understeer more than the Z06.

Having the same problem - running a ZR-1 RM, can get second easily but still end up waaaaaaay behind the lead car. More practice needed...

I used zr1 rm and z06 rm on other account, had difficulty using 1990 zr1 full mods. The camaro is quick machine (its a holden VE commodore/Pontiac G8 chassis underneath btw).

I "finally" got 1st place (slipstreamed in last curve to won) with the fully modded used 1990 ZR1 C4. Best lap time 1:35. Top speed 319km.hr

I spent a good 10 hours (50+ restarts?) determined to win it with this car. I don't know why I was so persisitent with this particula rcar, but it opened my eyes and ears to tuning all there is to tune. No two laps were ever the same though lol. Amazing how by the 5th lap, the tires suddenly grip 25% better than they did in the 1st 4 laps.

Sound advice. My roommate was able to beat the event with his ZR1 with little trouble.

Since I already had a Grand Sport edition 'Vette in the garage, thought I'd take that out after a little modding.

...Wound up dumping EVERY mod I could into it. -_- Would've been cheaper to buy the ZR1.
