Had to fully mod my Corvette C3 '69 to get gold.

Corvette ZR1 RM = Instant win.
 
Like others say, use the RM ZR1 and with a tune or 2 you'll win easily.
 
Burned through it with my Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09. I think I either came close to or lapped the entire field. But then and again, I did this a week ago...

Buy a ZR1 from the dealership and Race Mod it from the Oil Change menu, whatever it's called

Have you tried changing the tyres? I used a modern 'vette ZR1 from the premium garage and I only added racing tyres but won.

That was what I did as well. Caught the leading Camaro with a lap to spare.

Step 1: Dealership > Chevrolet

Step 2: Buy Corvette ZR1

Step 3: GT Auto > Racing Modification

Step 4: ???

Step 5: Profit
 
ZR-1 straight from the dealer. Added racing softs and ran 1:33 laps without much effort. Passed the last car at the beginning of lap 5. Never raced the car or the course before so the ZR-1 even without the RM is overkill.

Am i the only one who used a '96 Grand Sport fully tuned to beat this race?

I have the ZR1 RM and Z06 RM, but i love driving my chrome Grand Sport whenever i get the chance

Nope, I went back and used the Grand Sport just for the fun of it still beat this event pretty easily. I used the 90 C4 ZR-1 the first time. The Premium ZR-1 RM is just overkill!
 
Same here, I just used the C6 Z06, slapped some race rubber on and dominated.

It is complete overkill
But it does the job quick and easy
 
My Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 walked it few tuning mods and took the lead on lap four.
 
I may be in the minority..but if I'm given the opportunity to yank an easy mil or 2 by racing a hopped up car in an unlimited event...I'll yank that easy cash and giggle my way back to A-spec.

09 zr1 stage 2 engine and the others. In the lead on the end of the 3rd lap. Then start lappin some of the field.
 
Well there's no point having this thread open as you can't race it now.
 
I ran a newer Z06 in this with some mods. Was an interesting experience to say the least!
