The game is forcing me to the PS4 user selection screen

So i booted the game today, was doing a daily race and suddenly the PS4 user selection screen took over the screen and i couldn't do anything about it. Except pressing the home button which i used to restart the console. It happened again when i was browsing the menu, i thought it was a but in the game so i switched over to a different game, played it for 2 hours and no issues so it seems to be something with GT Sport. Anyone else with the same problem?

Also important to notice that i've been playing the game almost everyday since release and this is the 1st time it has happened to me
 
Hmm, what you mean user selection screen?

Whilst in game, the PS4 switched over to the Switch User selection screen?

Exactly, and even though my controller was on i couldn't do anything but press the home button to restart the console.
Something has happened just now though, i just did 50 laps on blue moon speedway on arcade and there was no issues, i'm tempted to try the daily races again which is where the bug has happened, but if it does happen again it will make me lose DR (already had to restart the console twice today, and during the daily race).

If that doesn't happen again (normally it shouldn't, as it does not make sense anyway) it could be just a console thing.
