After downloading the new update the game just seems like a BIG improvement. Even though they didnt change much everything feels like it slots into place now.
Previously I had to grind so much just to get a certain car. Ever since they added the new seasonal events it's like grinding just got diminished lol.
I have no reason to complain bout grinding cause there are races which require cheap cars and reward me with big lots of xp and money.

Next we got earning money and xp online. That has made me want to race online much more than before. Even if I lose the race I'm still gettin rewarded so I can actually enjoy racing. The only thing rewarding was finishing 1st or 2nd place imo. I had a great race earlier to day on Nurburgring 24h with me and this other guy. I was absolutey destroying him at the start, before the update that guy probably would of left cause there was no point in finishing the race. But now he actually fighted his way to 1st position and I was trying to chase him throughout lol.

Then we have music... Just awesome. I can make my own playlist and then race to it in GT5. I filled it with some nice house and dnb music and a few hip hop tracks here and there. Felt great cruising to more suited music imo.
Listening to goldie while racing in a championship is win :sly:

And last but not least removeable HUD. Just with that new optiion I can change the game to something completely different. Even if you didnt have driving line on, you had the gear change recomendation which pretty much showed you when to brake. Now I can remove the HUD I actually have to look at the corner and judge when to brake which makes the game much more difficult and fun especially on tracks with alot of bends.
Also say I'm on a track I've raced on alot its nice to have to use your brain once in awhile. If you see a familiar corner you can remember what to do.

When I first had the game I was all like "Is this it? Wow great game... :indiff:"
Now I'm like: "Updated every month to keep me occupied, great game :)"

Meh... one or two decent changes, and even they were no-brainers that never should have been left out. I mean the HUD thing was a great idea, but completely hosed in the implementation. (Turn off everything that you need and leave the stuff you don't?). And who listens to music through the PS3 while it's busting hump trying to work all that graphics/driving magic?. That's what stereos and iPods are for. :D

Sorry. I just can't get that excited because PD finally found some time to actually play the game they designed and decided they better fix a few glaring issues. Give us two or three more downloads like this last one with quality updates to fix what still needs to be fixed, and I'll be a little less cynical. :)
 
Well you can't help but admit you'd rather play it as it is now then it was before.
 
I'm a bit more happy. Some nice, small changes and they're certainly appreciated.
 
Where are the other poll options? None of what is listed above works for me.

There were a few things that disappointed me in GT5, but nothing that serious. This recent patch is sure making things a lot better.
 
I'm glad that they fixed the RX-7 FC and S13 tachometers... Also added working odo and clock to the FC :D
 
Not good choices in the poll as it assumes no one liked the game before the update which of course is incorrect.

The update was a very welcome thing though and definitely improved the game both online and offline.

Hoping to see more such updates in the coming months.
 
The game was obviously incomplete when it sold. I'm glad they're listening to the fans and updating the game, but it's definitely a long way from being perfect (or close to it).

I have to admit, there were just enough nagging issues with GT5 before that I had stopped playing it. I'm actually pleasently surprised that they are really taking user requests to heart and molding the game into something, it would seem, more of us are coming to love.

Didn't get to play much last night, by the time the update finished downloading, it was midnight, lol. I had to kick the kids off my PC and head to bed, but I did notice I now have the Nordschliefe tracks available in arcade and practice, thanks PD! always missing gold by a second or two in the challenges meant I would have never gotten those tracks otherwise.

Allowing us to turn the HUD off is a big thumbs up! I never looked at it anyway.
 
It's defeinitely better... but that's taking into consideration the game started off much worse than it should have been so rather than moving in a positive direction I feel more like we are just moving in a less negative direction....
 
At least you got the updates. My PS3 refuses to work properly...
 
I was never really disappointed to begin with but there's no poll option for that...
