PIFs, PSAs and shockverts have quite the fanbase, and as someone obsessed with them since a very young age, I have long been keen to share analysis and thoughts about them. I'm sure there are fellow fans out there too.

Feel free to post videos, try and keep it to 2 in each post, if you're posting more it'd be advisable to link them.

So then, happy analysis. :p

I have no idea what any of those things you mention are.
Don't we already have several gif threads encompassing everything?

This is for advertising discussion. Specifically PSAs/PIFs, but I added shockvertising because as a recognised standalone art form, I guessed there'd be some fans out there too.

Call me crazy but it you've like them that much, surely it would be a wise idea to post a few of your favorites? Then if nothing else I'd know what the point of this thread is.

Edit: @daan to the rescue!

Edit 2: apparently Singapore were mad for these PSAs a few decades ago.

I was on my phone with a terrible connection, I was planning on posting some this evening when I hopped on a computer.

AFDFS Guinea Pig is almost unwatchable. It's not particularly graphic, nor all that well structured, but the atmosphere and some of the imagery is sickening.

Found this gem earlier today.

The other one from this campaign was the pneumatic drill spot; even though they come from the same campaign, they have two very different tones to them. The humour is much better than a blunt message of "loud noises annoy you", and I think it makes the real life cut that little more impactful, too.
