The most recent Supra is marketed as an A90 but that isn't its actual model code.

Clicking the button for A80 so hard my thumb shatters instantly.

I think we all know what the result will be for this poll.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Supra because I think it lacks the edge compared to the R34 GT-R and perhaps the poise of the FD RX-7, but I don't hate it by any means. The MKIV makes up such an integral part of Japanese car culture, famed for it's engine and supreme tuneability. There's a reason why the car is still soo desirable today.

It's the A80, no doubt, and if anyone shows up with that orange atrocity from the well known movie franchise instead of the Castrol or Denso variants from well known PS1/2 games, they ought to get banned, I think.

I have to say the A60 does it for me as well. I could honestly care less about the A80. They never sold well here and honestly, no one really knew what the 2JZ was capable of until after THAT movie came out. I have driven a few A80s and they just feel like a softer sprung BMW 6 series. They share a chassis with the Lexus SC300, not exactly sporting. The A60 just oozes 80s perfection, and its the perfect size.

I feel like I may have to explain my unpopular opinion, given that I've picked the fifth-gen Supra! :scared:

The A80 played a big role in the media I grew up with, and based on that alone, it should have my vote. But I think it’s only fair not to judge these cars on their tuning potential, but on how they came out of the factory and in that respect, the A80 has always felt a bit underwhelming to me.

Despite all the hate the A90 got for being a Z4 underneath, I think it managed to capture the dynamic appeal I used to think the Supra had when I was younger. Growing up comes with some reality checks, and one of them was realising the A80 wasn’t actually all that great as a sports car. The A90, on the other hand, felt like it finally lived up to what the Supra badge meant to me.

Yup, A60 all day. I like the A80, but the A60 is just infinitely cooler.

When the 'A90' finally made production it was quite a disappointingly watered down version of the concept we were all hoping for, but on the rare occasion when i actually see one on the road, they still look fantastic. Perhaps if they were more common i'd be more immune to their visual charms.

The Supra has never the the pinacle of sports coupes, so it has to go purely on looks. As much as i like the J29, a clean unmolested A80 is a very good looking car and one that seems to get better with age. So that's where my vote goes.

A70 for me. So many happy memories of it as a starter car in Gran Turismos 1 and 2. Love the All80sCoupes.png look and it's got one of the best ones.

Plus it's got pop-up headlights.

Don't like this one. They’re all cool.

I'm going A60 based on my pre-teen and teenage childhood when everyone wanted the seats and those wheels and the A70 when I got a ride in a friend’s burgundy boosted Turbo.

The A80 gets my vote. I have a lot of memories using it in the very first Need for Speed game and Gran Turismo, before The Fast & the Furious made it popular. But I also love the A70. My friend’s dad had a black one with the targa top back in the day, and that thing was a beauty.

I’ve never seen the older ones in real life, but they are cool. The newest one doesn’t appeal to me as much because of all the BMW parts.

In person the A60 (despite being a much larger car than it looks) has the same kind of stout bulldog stance that the (usually Giugiaro-derived) European sporty cars had at the time; and that's even before they added the VW GTI-esque box fender flares and wider wheels to the performance models. You could park it next to a high trim Mk II Scirocco or an Audi Quattro and it would fit right in; which isn't something you can say for a Z31 or Starion.

Given what it's based on, the newest Supra would have been better off being called an MR2. Seems more appropriate and a better comparison to me. The misnamed drivetrain wouldn't be so bad - they call it an A90 anyway when isn't.

Missed this one, but I think the A60 is the coolest looking. But I would probably take an A80 if given the opportunity. I've ridden in some fast A70s though, and one thing I'll say about them is that they feel incredibly well built - just very solid cars. "A90" and A50 are pretty meh for me. I've always disliked how overstyled and cheesy the new car looks, it's just a mess.
