I can't upload an Excel file, so I've attached a file for anyone who's interested in laying out their grinding pain, and possibly using this to plan your life of grinding in your calendar around your usual life events.

Using the formula map in Excel you can create this simple grinding template. The only instruction is that you only put numbers into the green cells. Everything else is a formula.

I have used the American Champ of the top level as an example, with the goal of netting yourself a $20 mil prizecar for all your repetitive work.

If I recall correctly it takes about 3.5mins around Indy in a Vette ZR1 RM. Total time to $20m = 10hrs (not including any race restart downtime or washroom breaks etc.)

What a fantastic way to spend a day!

PS
I've attached as a PDF because I have no idea how to attach a picture.

I admire the effort but here in a nutshell is where GT falls down for me.

Any game that is a grind has failed in it's ultimate purpose to entertain.

I've enjoyed the game so far as I'm at about level 24 and haven't had to grind. As long as the seasonal events keep coming i should avoid this too.

I'm not saying it should be easy or handed to us on a plate, but it shouldn't be a grind.

Agreed. This ain't a MMO. I'm grinding right now, trying to scrape my way to lv30 so I can go for the X1. But for the last few levels, I've been at the point of having to run the same races or series over and over and over and over and over again to get enough XP to get to the next level. That's just not fun. For a game like this, the stuff that's unlocked at, say, lv25, should be enough, upon proper completion, to get you to lv26. And not by having to do it eight times, either.

I don't know why people grind. Do seasonal events or go online and organize good races. You will get money and exp. The FGT Cars will come in due time lol.

I think the same thing. Now i am grinding money for the Formula car (i have problems with my conscience if I use cheats :sly: ) and sometimes i think "what am i doing? gaming with GT5 or is it gaming with me? :grumpy:

It's still grinding no matter which way you look at it, sure online racing you can have some variety but unless you do very long races the rewards are not very much.
