Since GT4 will soon be coming out, (or hopefully, that is :grumpy: ) the death of GT3 will soon follow, and I deem it appropriate to praise (and dishonor) the cars in this awesome game.
The catagories are as follows:

Best Starter Car
Best Grip Car
Best Drift Car
Best Handling Roadcar
Best Handling Racer (non f1)
Best accel. Roadcar
" " Racecar (non f1)
Best Modern Muscle(see my threads for more info)
Best Tossable car (see my threads for more info)
Best Econobox
Worst handling Roadcar
" " Racer
Worst accel. Roadcar
" " Racer

Yeah, I think that covers everything. :D Happy posting!

EDIT: Outta sheer stupidity and my tired condition, I forgot the simplist of catagories:
best FF (road, race)
Best FR (road, race)
MR road, race (non f1)
4WD (road, race)
Best Turbo (road, race)
Best Normally Aspirated (road, race)
Best 80's Vehicle
Best lightweight (1,000 k's limit)
best roadster
best stock overall
Best Blown stock (fully tuned)
Best horsepower for minimum dollar
Best Tourque Monster
Best tourque wonder (having little tourque, but still go fast)
Best buy for $1million
Worst waste of money
Best C-class
Best B-class
Best A-class
Best S-class Type 1 (JGTC 300, rally racers)
Best S-class Type 2 ( JGTC 500, DTM, Falcon, Viper GTS-R)
Best S-class Type 3 ( LeMans Series, Speed 12)
Best manufacturer
Car of the Game. (kinda like moter trend :D)
Now keep in mind that there is a 'worst' to each of those catagories as well. Get out yer notepad, folks, this may take some thinking.

Best Starter Car? I think my vote goes to the Toyota Trueno and the Mazda Miata MX-5.

MX-5 is probably the est, but it's the most expensive, the Trueno isn't that far behind in performance. But the MX-5 has it's own endurance race. I'd go for the MX-5.

Best grip car, TVR Speed 12 definitely (honest lol).

I'd say the best grip car is the Spoon Sports S2000 Race Car.

If you're being really serious about a list for the game, I think you need to come up with better categories.

Something on each game level. Race/street, stock/mod, power, pwr, torque, light weight cars ... you need "a best" for each of the classes of cars.

Racing line records do a good job of showing the general opinions of cars in terms of speed, but that place can be decieving.

That is why you might want to think about something like best car for:
F1, FR, MR, 4wd, FF (no RR needed with only 1 in game)
light weight (under 800kg? 900kg? )
street and race for each of those categories
maybe a few specialty awards after that.
best 80's
best roadster
best stock overall
best race overall
best ...

Anyway, you get my idea.

Sorry to "pick on you". ;)

But these ideas...
Best Starter Car
Best Grip Car
Best Drift Car
Best Handling Roadcar
Best Handling Racer (non f1)

Great! 👍
And maybe a best value in terms of worthyness throughout all levels of the game relative to the average gamer. (including factors like how hard to get, how much it cost, power top out and handling at all levels, etc. )

anyway, :D
Later.

The best starter car is the Panoz Esperente GT1, and don't say you can't get it at the start of the game either.

Thats IF you can complete the Arcade mode Time Trails.

Uh, dude, the PT Cruiser is the most expensive.;)

So, I never mentioned the PT Cruiser. I was talking about the Trueno and the MX-5.

Oh, okay, I mean the of all the available (and BUYABLE) cars, the PT is the most expensive.:)

Man, I have got to hand it to this guy, pure genius. I was gonna enter those catagories today, mr fr ff, the lot. I was half asleep when i wrote this yesterday, too. And GoKents, if you want to hijack this thread, by all means, it's yours. ;)

First off, stop with all the flattery.
Thanks.

However, no high jacking here.

But I would like to see you take this into a nice little official format.

Nothing too special, but maybe, just maybe, you could talk with me about setting up something ...

Oh hey, I just had a good idea, hit me sometime. ;)

The miata (16,900Cr) is the best starter.
Vitz for worst handling
Alto Works or Mini for worst accel.

In order.

Toyota Sprinter Trueno.
Well, F1s aside, Honda NSX Type-R.
Nissan S13 Silvia Ks, with Sheron's settings.
Lotus Elise Sport 190.
Gillet Vertigo.
Dead stop, TVR Speed 12. Anywhere else, RUF CTR-2 Sport.
Dead stop, can't say. Out of turns, Opel Calibra.
Mercedes-Benz CL600.
Lotus Elise Sport 190.
Suzuki...Alto? The all-wheel-drive one, cheapest car in the game at $11,000ish.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V, pre-tuned.
Haven't driven enough to pick a loser.
Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Once again, haven't driven enough to pick a loser.

Ok, this is a start. Maybe it is a good idea that 1 user takes a catagory and responds to it. Like go kents could take Best Drift catagory, that way it is not confusing. Please name your catagory.
