Greetings All Ye Rumblers,
'Tis my first post in this particular forum, so please excuse any failure in following protocol.
After many years my faithful Panasonic 27" T.V. moved on to the great beyond. Faced with the daunting task of purchasing of a new television, I, with great fear, threw myself upon the mercies of Ye Olde Electronics Shoppe. After being inundated with more information, than this old brain could process, I closed my eyes, bit the bullet and came home with a 42" LCDHD TV.
After the installation, (surprisingly easy), I set out to see how GT4 would perform. I have been to the mountain top! Between the remarkable picture, and THX sound the experience was frightening in its realism. I spent 4 hours viewing my Replay Library, and didn't place head upon pillow until nigh on 3:30 A.M. Time well spent!
I come before this hallowed community and wholeheartedly recomend that you sell thine very soul to purchase one of these phenomonal electronic boxes. It is virtually impossible to go back to the conventional!

And welcome fangio12151956 to HDTV! Now you must immerse yourself into the whole experience with a new sound system ..... possibly a racing cockpit ... a new wheel .... gloves ..... giant fan to simulate the air rushing over you .... 💡 👍

Digital-Nitrate is a great source for all your questions regarding HDTV and gaming. He helped me out a lot. Great info, btw, on the recent HD sales figures.

Of this I am sure. 'Tis a 42" LG High Def with 11,000:1 resolution or something or other. The specs thrown at me indeed was the source of much skull cramping. I have speakers and woofers, and tweeties, and barkers and the like place all about my living room. It has a PC hook up, DVD hook up, 6 additional component hook ups, and enough cabling to launch a space shuttle!
I am only a small way through the manual, which is only slightly smaller than the Manhattan Yellow Pages, and I find that the capabilities of this monster, exceed my abilities on a scale far greater than I will ever know!
But it is spectacular!
