Ok, can't figure out how much something is worth or you'd like to see what people would pay for something? Ask here.

Here's my question...

I'm thinking of selling my PC and I was wondering what this would go for, I don't have a clue.

My specs are...

2.8Ghz Pentium D 820 Dual Core 2MB with Heatsink and Upgraded Fan
ASUS P5LD2 (Intel 945P, PCIEx, Sound, LAN, SRAID,DualDDR2)
2GB DDR2 533Mhz PC2-4200 Memory Major Brand
80GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150
52x24x52CDRW + 16X CDRW/DVD Combo Drive w/NERO,PowerDVD
DVD DL Burner Drive
256MB nVidia GeForce 7800GT PCI Express DVI/Tvout Upgraded Fan
Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2
400watt Black Foxconn FX-776 Mid Tower w/2 Fans (4 5.25, 4 3.5 bays)

Thanks.

Hope this doesn't sound like an interest check thread. Mods delete if it is. :grumpy:

Less than £500.

I'd guess around $600-$700.

Your power supply is weak.

Really? that's more than I'd expect.

I'd probably ask around $500 of that, and it's not certain it would be sold for that price. The hard drive is small, it doesn't seem to have a DVD burner and the hardware is cheap nowadays, even as brand new.

Thanks for the info guys.

Opps, forgot it has 2gb of ram not one and a DVD DL drive. I also have a 160gb sata secondary drive but I'd probably keep it.

I'd pay 400$ USD for that. Not more, because I could prolly score a nice bass off ebay for the same price (lost bid for a Peavey Cirrus 5 string)

Prbably $300

Good thread 👍

what about a Silver PS2 in good condition, with 15 games, silver controller and 8MB memory card, network adapter etc.

not expecting too much!

The PS2 might sell for $300-$400 depending on the games. Sadly, it's worth a lot more than that but unfortunately it's old and used and that's what counts to most of the buyers.

Silver slim?

Unfortunatley it is the 'chunk' version, with purchased network adapter.

$300 - $400 ?! :scared:

Uh... no. depending on the games I'd say $250 even then I think it's pushing it.

Yeh, I doubt a Ps2 will sell for much these days, since the PS3 came out PS2 value will no doubt depriciated.

Well, it depends where he's going to sell it. Put it on eBay and it may well rack up that $300 and more if the games are good and the hardware is in great condition.

$400 tops - i just bought a crappy emachines pc for an office for $300. The ram upgrade and video card upgrade together wouldn't cost more than $150-200 to bring the new pc up to that same spec...and I'd have the faster cpu on mine and more hdd space.

Selling used pc's is really difficult. Easiest thing to do will be to find a family friend in need of something cheap for their kids to do homework on

Almost always, the answer is "less than you thought".

For the PS2 you might even be better selling all the games individually on eBay, rather than all together. At least you can rip them off in postage 15 times rather than the once.

Put stuff on eBay with a stupid reserve, see what the bids get to. It's called appraisal! :sly:

People actually buy DEAD batteries on ebay. IMO thats about the weirdest thing ever. Not "just" used, not a bit of life left in them, DEAD.

Ok, one more time just to get the point across. DEAD.

After watching Leno and what he shows that sells, that's not really surprising.

IMO id go with Casio's idea. The actual PS2 would go for around 100AUD i think because its used (even in good condition) :(

My girlfriend used to work at EB Games, they give you like 5-10$ max for PS2 games, and maybe only 40$ for the PS2. Because they need to grab the profit when they dump them in the bargain bin for 30$. At least on eBay you might get 25-30$ per game and maybe 80$ for the PS2.

Yep once i saw a guy who traded in 10 games, he got $50 :scared: God ivve only ever traded in one so i could get like $5 of DRIV3R...pointless trading in UNLESS your giving a useless game.

Sooo glad I didn't go the route of selling my PC for a laptop... xD

Anyway, I'm getting rid of all my Apple stuff... How much would this stuff go for? I might sell the iPod video and philips dvd player together. I got other stuff too like the Belkin Tune talk, Radio remote, kensington pass though charger, altec lancing im3c portable speaker, iTrip auto, and usb wall charger too.

How much would this be worth:
