But I do NOT want this turned into a flame thread.
We all know that there are licensing issues preventing PD from using them. That's settled, this ain't a "why" thread.
Is there any way, that anyone can think of, to find out the specifics of the licensing agreements that these manufacturers have? The current theory is that EA has them, and is holding onto them like grim death to keep PD from getting them. We could conjecture all day, but in the end, it's just that.. conjecture.
Is there any way to confirm this? Asking EA would be utterly pointless, of course.. could we perhaps send emails or letters to the manufacturers themselves to ask?
This is more a matter of curiosity than anything else. With EA's recent "Buy Everything" crusade, it's made me wonder.
