The Lightyear One is an electric developed in the Netherlands. What is special about this? Well it uses solar panels to drive the car.

A solar panel car, is this the future?
 
It is a limit production of 12 cars and I believe 5 have been sold already. Deliveries are scheduled for 2020.
 
I missed this thread back in the day but have been following the car's progress on Youtube for a few months. Really interesting! It's got a nice design and the solar panels should be standard equipment on every single EV.
