You may be thinking that I have lost my marbles by saying this, but I think that this is the best thing that GT can have. This way, they will have a better chance of making GT as good as it can be (WITHOUT GTPSP!!!). They will likely have a better damage engine, and even better sounds (GASP!!!).
Also.... I have been thinking long and hard about the interiors issue. I also tried the Forza Motorsport 3 demo, and I have come to a pretty decent theory... In Forza 3's demo, the cars have the interior, but it is NOT fully modelled. The front view is all that there is in the interior. You can't look around with the R stick You dont even look up/down! To press up, NOTHING will happen, Press down, you look backwards. Left and right goes to a left and right view similar to the bumper cam's left and right. I would say that the interior camera is about 25% modeled. I bet the 830 "Standard" cars in GT5 are similar to that. The 170 Premium cars I bet are fully modelled with damage viewable in the interior camera. That is one of my guesses.
About the Forza 3 demo: I have tried it and It is ok... just feels like a touched up Forza 2, which is ok, but NOT the definitive racing game of this generation. The cars feel like they have a little more weight, but not too much. The cars feel like forza, which is good, but not GREAT... The damage is OK, but barely an improvement on F2. I may get F3, but im not certain. At least it has my car (1970 Datsun 510)...
