wow , what a program.
Now for the questions:

i have a non-hybrid lancer , and i want my trueno to be an exact carbon copy of the lancer, with the trueno body. Can i just select lancer Parts for every Parts Type for the trueno?
(I noticed some parts are labled with an extra "_ext" after the car name, but the same part. whats the difference?

What Parts Type Determine the handling characteristics of the car? I Dropped a Viper engine into a Civic, but it understeers a lot. Add Viper Susp. parts?
Will tires/susp/brakes from a 787B(Or other hi-perfromance race car) perform better than those parts from Mirra(Or other crappy car)?
Does the Chassis do anything handling/power wise, cuz of lower weight? (Its seems to just move the wheelbase)

Does changing Settings do alot to the car? (How do u even change em? im right clicking, but i cant change)

Hmm, guess thats it for now. Thannks

You take the Lancer and under "body and downforce" change it to the the part to that of the Trueno

All I know is that on the _ext carbases you can use colors that you win through a race.

Like on the _ext version of the Vitz you can have pink

For the Civic you need to change the drivetrain & VCD and also the LSD

I just use SuperSofts or F1 tires

Suspension only determines the adjustment of the height and the other settings I think.

I don't really know about brakes.

You need to match a chassis from a good car that's close in length for better handling too.

Oh yeah and lower weight = faster and better handling car.

I put a Vertigo chassis on my pink vitz.

The Vertigo handles great plus it's light.

Settings you can do that in the game.

Or through the .ini file

Before I start... ini files are just files you can open in notepad/wordpad which contain a number of lines - each one is numbered in steps of 4...

Settings canm only be changed in the ini file - see the link in my sig for full mk's AND ini file guides. It's easier to just change them in the game and save at that point, but you can go for the ini just as well. If you hit on F1 in mk's to bring up the help menu, click on Index and Car/Ini files a full list of what each line in the ini does will pop up. Most of the first 200 or so are parts and are much more easily changed in the programme.

Easiest way to clone a car would be to change the "Body/Downforce" line. Export the Lancer to an ini file, highlight a different car, import the Lancer, highlight "Body/Downforce" on the new car, hit F5 and put the Trueno body on it. Might look a bit daft though - I'm not sure how the wheelbases compare.

Chassis IS your handling - the chassis you use determines not only the wheelbase, but the track (distance between centre of tyres on the same axle) front & rear and mass.

Viper engined Civics will be 500hp FFs. That's understeer country.

Tyres from race cars are grippier than tyres from road cars (they're BIGGER... More rubber = more grip). Grippiest tyres of all are the F1 tyres - even though they only come in T5s.

Brakes all have numbers after them (eg 44/29) which represent the braking power front/rear. The higher the number the better. Best brakes are F1, TS020 Race Car, R390 Race Car, Zonda and ZZII.

Settings on a car are paramount - just adjusting the gear ratios for a track can earn you 5+s a lap compared to the stock car.

_ext cars are the same as their normal derivatives, but they can be won only - specifically they are cars you can buy in the dealership, but can only have in certain colours if won.

Anything else? :D

Cool, thanks guys.

So the "Body/Downforce" part changes the actual body/shell of the car? (What the car looks like from the outside?)

Does "Drivetrain & VCD" differ from car to car? For example:Is an FR Drive from an RX-7 LM better than a FR Drive from a RX-7 RZ? If so, how? ( Less wheelspin?)

Yeah it changes the body and with the body you also get the downforce adjustements.

If you want more downforce you can change that in the .ini file

I wouldn't think it matters.

Just make sure if you get an FR drivetrain and VCD to also get an FR LSD.

Can't have an FR VCD... :D

I'm not convinced that the different drivetrains you can insert have any differing effects - one FR is the same as any other. There's possibly something in the weight balance though - maybe...

As Dogg said, make sure your LSD matches your drive type.
