The more strict it gets and less fun it gets also.

Thanks to dupers, glitchers and big mouths all over, PD is now restricting trades apparently (cars over 1 000 000 $ cannot be sent as gift). When I bought the game, on nov 24th, I was able to gift at will, but since I didn't have that many cars, I didn't gift much. Then the limit was imposed, thanks to "power traders".

Then PD gave us the option to backup our saves, people found an exploit... used it like there was no tommorow and... voilà, EVERYONE gets penalized for that. Personally, I think it's too late to enforce such a thing. The only thing I respect of the GT series (and I also hate it), is that there is no money/car cheat. So now, we can't trade with friends nor use sub-accounts to help our main account to collect cars faster, because that's what I want to do, collect them and drive them to take pictures or cruise without any stress.

I'm starting to wonder if Kaz is from Japan or China. It would make sense that he was chinese, with so many restrictions recently, I'd say:"well, they don't respect human rights, so forget gamers right too !". But seriously, every update is 1 step forward, 5 steps back. Why can I only trade 5 paint chip ? Why can I only send 5 tuning part ? Only 1 car per day as gift ? Is this MY game or PD's game ? I paid 110$ for it, I should be able to enjoy it MY way.

People used to say, "how does this (trades, dupes) affect your game, it doesn't"... yeah ? but now it does.

When the game came out, I was ECSTATIC, then in december, I became bored with it. The seasonal came, that got me back into it. Finally discovered that I could make sub-accounts, I did, did the seasonal, bought cars and gifted them to my account. Then they lowered the payouts, that made me mad, then they raised it again, that made me happy ! But now, it's tough to follow, because it seems that everyday, something happens and every update becomes more strict.

It's a game, shouldn't it be fun ?

I'm not sure anymore where I stand with GT5. I think I'm at 49% love and 51% hate.

Cool. Another one of these threads... Not!

I love GT5. I love that you can't dupe trade expensive cars anymore.

Umm... actually you still can. Have you missed half the threads about this today??

I love the way Polyphony keep improving the game, often with big changes - without charging us for it. 👍

I'm not complaining, all I'm saying is that I want stability. I'm not even sure of what I can do and what I can't do. Apparently, we can see our friends lap time and I don't know where to look in the game (although I didn't play more than 5 minutes today, no time for it).

Did... did you just compare the People's Republic of China to Japan?

PD is becoming like a dictator, we're losing our rights slowly every update, just like China.

...the better it gets (hopefully).

Well that's where the future of console gaming is going! The publisher has the control of the games...

You're comparing PD improving GT5 to a communist country?

For the record, I support what PD are doing. People can still trade cars, it just means people won't be getting expensive (£1m and over) cars that they didn't earn. PD are a business, they want to keep GT5 alive as long as possible, they don't want someone getting an X1/X2010 as soon as they begin the game, driving it once and then abandoning the game. That's my opinion on the subject.

I love GT5. The updates are fine with me. We should just thanks those who abuse the game >.<. Good thing my friend gifted me that GT-ONE before the update :P

I'm steering clear of those crap logs. Wasting my time in there.

^What he said and bad comparison.
This forum is filled with people whining about the patch, and there are already a lot of threads regarding 1.07 in the forum.. one or two would be sufficient, please don't create another one. Post or complain in one of those threads.

You mean you love the way Polyphony keeps trying to finish the game without charging us for it?

No, he simply means he loves going around Indy so much, that he plans doing that for the coming two years. And he wishes to force that onto other people as well because it makes the game so much more fun.

Every game has it's flaws and those who look to exploit these flaws. I never duped cars, only traded them (4 trades in total and 2 of those were for standard cars). I am glad you like the updates and agree that duping and exploitation is not good for the game BUT WAIT....

<. Good thing my friend gifted me that GT-ONE before the update :P
So, you got what you wanted and that makes the 1.07 patch "fine" for you?

I have a word for people like you...Hypocrite!

got all cars off the game
lvl 40 a-b spec

but it destroys my 24h race when the update came on screen when i was throtlle up in the corner.

gt6 is not getting here if they dont can make a game in 5 years!
what every week must be updated because the people who play can cheat.

I'm pretty happy with the improvements PD has made to GT5 since it first came out. What they do to annoy cheaters hasn't really affected me since I prefer to earn credits and buy what I want, rather than trade for it (and yeah, I'm married with a full-time job, so I have to be patient sometimes...Bob 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 are studs though).

If you dislike it, according to Wiki there are currently 645 total games for PS3. Just sayin...

Why should PD care if we trade cars, make bunches of saves, rubberband grind or anything else that is "cheating"? If you're doing any of the above, that means you've already paid your $60+ for the game. I agree with the statement about PD and Kaz being similar to the PRC. i cant believe after all the GT games I've purchased, all of the $ I've spent and all of the time I've devoted to this series, they give us an unfinished game AND micro manage it. 👎👎👎👎

"HELP MY CONTROLLER JUST BROKE....Anyone suggest a good place to purchase rubber bands?"
