Just found out whilst doing the new seasonal event that the Mitshubishi i-MiEV '09 is one of the most premium cars i've seen so far. Even the Dashboard works perfectly. Question remains why did PD made this car so detailed and completely skipped one of the 200 cars that i really want premium :grumpy:
 
If they done one car premium for everyone that wanted one, the game would be on about 600 bluray discs, and would currently be around 3% complete.

Fair point, but from all the cars they could have chosen, surely the Mitsubishi car is not going to be many peoples favourite. I'd have thought the best showcase model would have been a Ferrari or Lambourghini or something. I bet there's a load of people who until today (due to the seasonal event) have never even considered driving the Mitsubishi.

I wonder if they'll ever improve the premiums, or work on converting standards like they hinted at. I personally would rather see some of the awful standards as premiums.
 
this game doesnt NEARLY take up the 50 GB a blue ray can hold. not even close.

they did it because they can, and probably will end up releasing more premium cars in the future ( i hope ) and id really like to be able to race modify the tvr cerbera speed 12 because it is totally doable :D

Sure, but that's not what i meant. I'll give you an example; i want the veyron to be a premium very badly. Now if they would have spent the time on the veyron instead of the mentioned i-meiv.;)

It is.

In any event, no one knows how they picked the cars to model.
The SuperGT cars look really nice though, probably some of the better looking ones.
 
Yeah the Castol Tom's Supra 97 looks very impressive
 
Jaguar xj220,ruff would be nice any of these were premium.
 
I think the X1 Is most detailed I dont know why, i just feel that its very well made and very very fast!

Correct, but I'll be willing to bet that licensing deals had a LOT to do with it, as did the fact that many of the premium cars were released after GT4 and required scratch models anyway.
 
Get the Lexus LFA , Cockpit View and watch the Speedo Display its Bonkers 👍

Try cars like the GTR and the LFA too, They have accurately modeled Dash and instrumental clusters in GT5 as well. And yes, the two car in real life have rather complex instrumental clusters.

I'm betting it went something along the lines of:

Kaz: "Hey Mitsubishi-San, we would like to get a 3D model of your latest EVO"
Mits: "I'm sure we can arrange something, if you're willing to promote our i-Miev in your New Car Dealership and make it accessible as a first car to everyone..."

they can release more premium cars by updates , it´s a good idea
 
I LOVE the cockpit of the Audi RS6 '08. Love it. Detailed wonderfully.

As a decade-long (and now retired) owner of a '92 300ZX TT, I also love how detailed that interior is when in cockpit view. Amazing.
 
Anyone consider that some cars got made premium as a part of the liscensing agreement to actually have their brand of cars in the game?

Those are actually on option on the real car, doesn't come stock like the Enzo.
