The most sensetive steering wheel to buy?

Hello.
here is my little story:
I went out and bought cheap wheel from Mad Catz called MicroCon - tried it out, and found that you have to turn the wheel pretty much to get ANy reaction, so I brought it back the next day and got Mad Catz Universal, which had Accudrive that would allow me to tune the deadzone and such - tried it out, even with the smallest deadzone setting I still found it unrealistic. I still had to do 10-15 degrees of input to get any action, which kills the feeling because the real life, all the fine controlling happens in those 15 degrees of input.
I'm gonna bring this wheel back.
So what else can I try? I don'T want to spend lot of money on new and fancy wheel. I was looking into some Logitech wheels, they have GT Force and Driving Force on eBay that are quite cheap. Are they gonna solve my issue?

dfp is the way to go.
 
....are you talking about the Mad Catz Universal (MC2)? That's what i have and i actually find it to be very sensitive at the minimum settings.... :sick:
 
For the playstation 2, the logitech driving force ( regular or pro ) is the way to go.
I have the regular model, but I'm quite sure I'll get the pro model under my Christmas tree. What's even better is that with the proper driver it will work on your computer too.

You will find that that is actually the case in real life as well :D

Anyway - I got the DFP, and I can't recommend it enough - And IF you decide to throw the needed amount of $$$ after it, I promise you - You WONT de disappointed !... It's THAT good...
 
yes, I'm talking about MadCatz universal.

My first wheel was a Mad catz too, and I found it so poorly designed that I stoped using it after ... 2 days prefering the old faithful Playstation controller.
I wouldn't touch any Mad catz hardware with a 10 feet pole again. Of course the Mad catz is cheaper than the Logitech, but as usual you get what you pay for.
 
hmm i have those logietech froce force ones.. they're pretty good
but i like MC2 better..

....not nice to be calling people names 👎 ...everyone has their own preferences, perhaps one who can't use the MC2 ...could indeed be.......... :dunce: ???
 
I to grew up with the Mad Katz MC2 and like it. Particullarly the ability to change key functions and adjust the dead zone.
Does the Logitec offer any user adjustments on dead zone or steering input required or is pre set by "amature/ pro / etc."? I'm considering upgrading.
 
I found the Logitec Driving Force (not the pro) to have issues with the break pedal. I researched it, and found out that pretty much all those wheels can't brake past like.. 70%.

That kinda killed my desire to get one. Been wondering how the other companies add up. Cause not having full braking is just... stupid.

You probably have a bad set of pedals, call up logitech and ask them for assistance because my pedals work fine (i use the formula gp ffb wheel)

No, Logitech knows the DFF pedals have a lower voltage (gas and brakes work on opposite voltages) and never fixed it.

You can find a schematic on the web of how to raise the voltage.
I have two DFF wheels and just live with the problem.

err... then how come gt 3 registers the brakes as being on full when i use them? Could it be because i use the formula force gp (the red pc one) instead of the DFF?

Sorry if its a bit off topic, but what price would you pay for a GT Force wheel, and where from? (link to site?). I want the GT Force wheel (not pro) because I'm simply low on cash.

EWhat country are you from ? like here in Canada we can buy it online directly from Logitech Canada.
