i think that this game will be great. i hope that they put in the:
Ferrari testarossa
Mercedes SLR McLaren
Lamborghini Gallardo
ferrari 550 Marinallo
Chrisler ME-FOUR-TWELVE

There are alot more cars that i want to be in the game but that is the cars that i want in the game the most.
It will be great how you can get the police onto you and how there will be so many of them (im pretty sure that it is over 6 at once).
they have even hired a police guy to let them know how police chaces are to make them more realistic.
I have pre-ordered my copy for the PS2, but does anybody know if the game is coming out on the xbox because if it is i will exchange it for an xbox copy.
at the moment it is going to be released in november, but the game was started before they started production on Need For Speed Underground so its not like this one will be rushed.
The car list so far is:

You can prolly bet on any big name ricer being in this game along with every big name rapper-mobile-suv. This game is prolly going to be even more embarrasing than nfsu2.

But I thought "NFS: Most Wanted" was going to be a next-gen title. Those videos at E3 looked too smooth to be on current consoles. Then again, the "Formula D" coverage in Houston said it was for the XBOX. So uh, set me straight on this.

It is a next gen and current gen console release, its coming out on PS2 ECT. and the XBOX 360... but that is the only next gen that it is going to be on
 
I'll be getting it for the 360.

I took a look at Madden '06 xbox compared to 360...Wow. Same game, giant leap.
 
i would get it on the 360, but the game comes out a fair bit before the 360 does here so if i wait for the 360 to come out i may as well wait for most wanted 2 to come out. i am just going to wait for the PS3 to come out because i want to get that more than the 360...
 
Well i like tuning up cars! im no ricer but i like making my cars individual - not stupid looking! and im looking forward to this game - no not to "rice up" a porsche!!

Im looking forward to the police chases and good racing! i liked hot pursuit better than underground games but i still enjoyed them!

When is release in the U.K?

- REAL LIFE ENGINE SOUNDS !!!!!!! In Underground 1, the Integra didnt sound like the real. In Underground 2 the Civic doesnt sound like the real.
- Big smoke engine: I want to be able to make big clouds when burning rubber.
- Real life skirt and bumpers kits including MUGEN AND SPOON lips... I want LIPS !!!! lol
- Much more exhaust tips including TWIN UPSETTED tips.

Thats for sure alot, but it will be off the hook if all these things were added to Most Wanted.

I, for one, am NOT looking forward to this game. Like Underground before it, I'll simply ignore it altogether. Which is sad, because I used to be a huge fan of the NFS games. Back when it was still NFS, anyway. Does anyone else remember the way NFS used to be? Then they went all stupid and made a whole game that's just as "hip" and "cool" as their "EA Trax" music selection. They should all be shot. And NFS should simply go back to their real roots. Supercars, open road, the end.

And you can babble on all you want about how Most Wanted is "going back to NFS's roots", but it's all BS. It's nothing more than NFS:U with faster cars and cops. Whoopty-doo. Screw EA. I ain't buying another NFS game until they make them NFS games again.
 
Well, I may consider it since I've seen more sports cars than tuner cars.

C6 Corvette, BMW M3, M-B SLR, Ford Mustang GT, Porsche Carrera GT.

Looks like they realized that super cars can't be tuned, so it should be fun owning the ricers online in a supercar.

Definately going to keep an eye on it.
 
I've played the demo of this at my local EB. What a hunk of outdated crap.

I played the X-BOX version, and as usual for that console, the framerate is utter hell. The graphics have been jacked way up, with excessive light/shadow effects and blurs and this and that and the other thing. It's so over-the-top that it actually looks ridiculously unrealistic, and runs like **** because it's stretching the limits of the engine. You could say that (at least on the X-BOX) NFS:MW is the San Andreas of the NFS(U) series.

Speaking of stretching the limits of the engine, another thing to point out is that the physics engine, graphics engine, the overall game engine, is still horribly out-dated. Most Wanted uses a tweaked version of the engine from Underground 2, which used a tweaked version of the engine from Underground, which used a tweaked version of the engine from Hot Pursuit 2, which used a tweaked version of the physics engine from Motor City, which used a tweaked version of the engine from Porsche Unleashed. The physics engine is 6 years old, and although it was fun and respectably "convincing" in 1999, it's been turned into outdated, not-fun crap today.

Drifting resembles doing a donut while moving, with terribly unrealistic rotation and horrible control. This problem is made worse by this slo-mo feature they've added. It's a complete rip-off of Midnight Club 3's "Zone," but unlike Zone, MW's slo-mo is useless for taking corners faster; it just makes your car rotate as you slide sideways towards a wall.

As before, with the Underground games, cars capable of over 300km/h take a long time to get to even 200km/h, and forever to get to 250km/h. I felt as though my M3 GTR was as fast as a 330i. Furthering this issue was a terrible sense of speed, but U2's demo also had a bad sense of speed.

The courses are horrendously large and out-of-proportion, as usual, with two-lane roads that could be 6-lane highways.

The cops are effective, but very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very suicidal.

From what I heard, the music is still hit-or-miss.

The cars' engine sounds are still inaccurate, but I've learned to never expect that from any modern NFS game.

So, in conclusion, this game is ****ty, but I'm probably still going to play it. I won't shell out $50, myself, but I'd love to play a friend's copy. I mean, it's got the M3 GTR (race version). How could I resist??

Still, I miss the days of NFS1-5. The original was the best... :(
 
As long as they put a Subaru in that game it's ok. It's only a pitty it hasn't got the 2006 model aswell

I really hope they put every car from NFS:U2 in the game. And by that I mean the SUV's and I hope more than 3 this time and the little cars + extra like VW Golf V GTi or so!

What you say about NFS 1-->5 it's true they were really good. Above 5 it was a little over the edge and now with the 9 (MW) it will be really full. It's the same with burnout 4 (Revenge) it's not good anymore 2 was good and 3 was still ok but 4 is to crowed. It will be the same with NFS:MW, it will be to crowed.

Where are the times I was racing that Porsche 911 chased by german police that spoke german aswell! I want to play NFS 4 again...
