It is truly huge and makes me wonder why it's so close in size to the XC90.
Also, the above 3 posts are useless.👎
More like the fact that it gained about 10cm in every dimensions. What, a three inch lift on a V70 makes it HUGE?
So, Europeans are losers?Metrics are for losers.
...because the XC70 is pitched at people who want an estate car that thinks it can go off-road, whereas the XC90 is aimed at people who want a car with a higher driving position, and an imposing (and spit-attracting) road presence, which also thinks it can go off-road.
The Q7 is bigger.

...I better tell my Dad to sell the S.S. Avalanche...

I do live in the US where everything is huge...
Probably. As I agree with the Q7 looking even bigger. It's one of the largest cars I've ever seen, other than a Hummer H2...Maybe it's the shape that gives the illusion if it being so much bigger.
I don't know I would have to see them next to one another to really say for sure, but the numbers are pretty similar.
XC70:
Exterior length 190.5"
Exterior body width 75.8"
Exterior height 63.1"
Wheelbase 110.8"
Outback:
Exterior length 189.0"
Exterior body width 69.7"
Exterior height 63.2"
Wheelbase 105.1"
Audi Q7
Exterior length California
Exterior body width Spain
Exterior height Olympus Mons
Wheelbase 8"
...the wheels are more impressive than the car. About 22" or so?
