Post up any bargains you've snapped up. You know what I'm talking about. Those $5.50 bins at Wal-Marts, clearance rakes at Take-1 & Blockbuster, garage sales & flea markets, etc.

This is the good stuff I've found for less than $6;

The Wraith
Maximum Overdrive
Jumanji
Replikate
Flashdance
Orange County
Salena
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Titan A.E.
Short Circuit
Total Recall

Now the bad;

Rollerball
RPM
Glitter
Last Action Hero
Army of One
The Mod Sqaud (remake)
Relined

Now, stuff I've seen in there that I plan on buying;

Shaft (remake)
Mystery Men

Even the flea markets here in Canada where I live don't sell DVDs at bargain prices. They're all $15 or higher. But Best Buy or Wal Mart are about the only places you can get a DVD for about $8 (Canadian). Recently I picked up Dead Presidents, Revenge of the Nerds I & II, Dark City, and Creepshow for that price.

Am in england, but my local cash convertors sells all its dvd's @ £4 each. I have found dawn of the dead (remake) less than a week after it came out.

i think my best bargain was getting Amadeus for free. I got Deep blue sea & lost in space off of a market & the guy said dya want this too for free!

I don't, and haven't, buy/bought a DVD in a long time. Well, I do buy my boys a DVD movie when a good one comes out. But, none for me. I'm waiting for Blu-ray movies.

But, if I can find a good movie, or just a movie I like, for 5 bucks, I'll jump on it. The best deal I had on a DVD was Weird Science for $5.99 from Wal Mart.

Weird Science is a classic. Great find.

Tomarrow I'm picking up Buffy season 1 when I get to work. It's gonna cost me $15. Nice, cheap way to get into the show. Never wached it before but have heard good things.

My personal recommendation is "Way of the Gun" with Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Phillippe, Juliet Lewis and James Caan. Extremely violent, but I love it!

I also love some of the DVDs mentioned in this thread. Dark City is a classic. I also own Total Recall, Last Action Hero(I don't care, I love it!), What's eating Gilbert Grape, Cobra, Deep Blue Sea, Lost In Space. Maximum Overdrive sounds interesting(Stephen King, right?), I'm gonna keep my eyes open for that one. 👍

P.S. Also, don't forget the "Previously Viewed" section at rental stores. I've purchased countless quality DVDs from Blockbusters' and Hollywood Video. :)

Yup. It's a great flick about these semis going crazy & tormenting a bunch of really cool charaters at a truck stop.

The Toy and Brewster's Millions for 11$ USD at a wal mart. Great old school Richard Pryor stuff.

Picked up Mr Nice Guy as well(Jackie Chan movie) But the plot is just so stupid that it really annoys me to watch it. The action seens are good though.

I love Jackie movies, but I know what you mean. I grew up in Japan, where Jackie was a huge star. Some of his Asian movies has plot that will keep 8year olds very excited(I was one of them), but very silly if you were past grade school. :crazy:

Got these at a local pawn shop last Monday for $6 each;

Virus
Mission To Mars
Lawnmover Man

I also got Lawnmover Man 2 out of Wal-Mart's 5.50 bin & Resident Evil: Apocalypse at Blockbuster for $4.99.

2001 for that price is a great pick up. 👍 I paid a full price for RE2, just because I'm a fan of the game and the genre, but price you paid($4.99) is appropriate. :guilty:

No doubt...the movie sucked imho. I only got it because a. I love the first one, b. to futher my goal of owning every videogame movie ever. Yes, even Super Mario Brothers.
