This was a very fun, competitive tournament that was my first real challenge of my new save. first up, Seattle! my opponents were:
1. Chevrolet Corvette C3 L46 350
2. Plymouth Superbird
3. Chevrolet Camaro SS
4. Chevrolet Camaro Z28 302
5. Chevrolet Corvette C2 Coupe
6. Mercury Cougar XR-7 (me)
I passed the Corvette at the first corner and was going past the Camaro's up the sloped street, they then passed me again when i hit the wall at the corner at the top. i passed the Z28 302 2 corners later and the SS at the sharp corner before the highway. i got passed the Superbird in the chicane and finally passed the Corvette Stingray at the next corner, with another lap to maintain a 7 second lead and victory.
Next up, Infineon! this was quite a bit harder

The Corvette C2 was over and dealt with after one corner, my main target was to get ahead of the Cobra as quickly as possible which i did on the blind corner in the middle of the track, i passed the Mustang 2 corners before the start/finish line and so did the Cobra. he slowly gained on me throughout the last lap and made one final lunge before the finish line and lost to me by 0.127 seconds!
Next up, New York!

I had the Cobra again, but this was much harder since most of the track is made up of long straights and the Cobra doesn't stop at 120mph. I passed the GTO at the bottom of the track and the Charger at the corner after the shorter straight. I'd got the Superbird 2 corners later and me, the Chevelle, and the Cobra were bunched together at the roundabout thingy but i got onto the straight faster, but this didn't stop the Cobra zooming past me and leaving me and the Chevelle in the dust. I finally passed the Cobra again on the very small straight before the roundabout and zoomed out onto the straight again, the Cobra started gaining and would have won if he hadn't hit me from behind just before the finish line, phew!
and it was all worth it for a Superbird.
