As I'm on holiday I finally had the time to explore something I've been curious about for a while now.
What are the rival cars actually running?
Where better to start than the most unbalanced b*stard of them all, J Imai and his gold Silvia.
Watching it in a replay a few things are obviously fitted besides the bodykit.
1) Racing exhaust.
2) Fully Customisable Suspension, the rear camber is beyond -3.
3) High RPM turbo.
4) Engine work resulting in a rev limit just under 8'000 rpm.
5) Anti Lag
The first three are all easy to replicate and give you a decently quick Silvia, but his is still quicker. In terms of engine work the following increase maximum rpm.
High Lift Cams
Racing Crankshaft
ECU
Engine Balance Tuning
Titanium Connecting Rods and Pistons.
Finding the right combination to give a rev limit of just under 8'000 requires more than just modification to increase RPM, it then needs trimming back down from a certain point.
Either of the following combinations lands you at exactly 8'131rpm
High Lift Cams
Racing Crank
ECU
Engine Balancing or Titanium Connecting Rods and Pistons.
Bringing it back down requires the Stroke Up modification, which when applied to either of the above gives you a redline of 7'969rpm, meaning that with just what the boost, rpm and visible power modifications on show it is running a minimum figure of...
On comfort soft with the same aero that translates to 559.44PP at current levels.

401BHP with Titanium Connecting Rods or 413BHP with Engine Balance Tuning
