hey guys...i currently working on the special conditions sections in the gta n im wondering wat the perfect settings are for a good rally car are (besides dirt/snow tires)...rite now i have a 04' wrx sti spec. c, and a 95' evo III, they're good cars, but most of the time when i try to brake n drift the cars spin out or they end up having too much speed and run into the wall. so i thought that the hp was to high (because they both have around 450-500hp) so i drop the hps a lil, but they still spin out...is it something im missing? im confused:dunce:

Whats your current settings for the cars suspension and distribution?

Put your ride height up around 20 less then maximum, and your stab at 6 for both front and rear. I like my distribution around 35-40%, but if your spinning out alot, then maybe put it up to 50%. Use this as a basis to start from and work from there. Don't forget to brake for the corners, and get on to your gas lightly as you come out to avoid spinning. We should be able to help you more after you post your settings.

1) Stop drifting :) . Sliding is okay, but you don't need angle to win(though sometimes it IS faster, but other times it is not).
2) Countersteer.

Ive done all easy and normal races and most hard races with the 01 impreza prototype. I didnt change a thing, just went and raced it.

The only issue I had was learning the tracks, once I got that sorted the car was easy to drive and win, even in the hard races

Can somebody here give me some settings for the F1 racecar. I would like them for the oval (2nd race) and the rest of the series Thank you if you do.

This is the perfect rally car settings thread. What makes you think you're going to find settings for the Formula GT here?

You have asked this question in 3 different threads now. All of them are in the wrong forum. Please search before asking, and if you have to ask, at least ask in the correct forum/thread. I have supplied you with your answer in one of the other threads.

This thread has NOTHING to do with F1 cars. Please stop asking irrelevant questions in other people's threads.

You have already been asked by a moderator to stop once, and been directed to the search function. If you persist in ignoring moderators' instructions you will be banned.

i've had very good experience with the stock Lancia Delta S4 (trophy at citta di aria - hard) - you just need the right tyre set for the occasion. and mindful throttle control : )

mindful throttle control :) interesting choice of words!
I find all those Peugeot rally cars you win are just two insane for the PS2 controller. The throttle response on the impreza seems much more linear and balanced. The back end is more for controlling rather than to be controlled if that makes sense

EDIT: just as a quick aside, Chalmonix is an incredible track once you get the hang of it in the scooby, its a jot to drive

I got a really good rally car i got all the way up to the point were you win the escudo peak
its a nissan skyline and it doesnt need much tunning
ride hieght must be the highest, some what wide gear ratios and thats about it ohhhhh one more thing tune it all the way with every part. i used hks because of the original turbo. this really helps because you dont get much turbo lagg when your at a high gear and you hit a wall or something and go down to like 20 km/h on like 3rd gear. The turbo also helps you get sideways much faster and stays there untill you want it straight. if your having trouble strighting out just downshift a couple gears and e-brake, it works for me.

oh and my 1001 hp viper is good because of all the power some how the tires dont slip to much when at low speeds and high rpms

Sparco Drifter

Which one is it? There are a lot of Skylines in GT4 :)

Dont change anything!!!!!!!!!! you will only make things worse.

shame on me, but i dont seem to be able to find the cars i can slap an AYC on.

as i understand it, due to copyright reasons only certain mitsubishis, to be more correct Lancer Evos can install it....

still...

Get the Mitubishi CZ-3 Tarmac Rally Car, turbo it, and reduce the bound setting values both by 4, then remove camber angles. :)👍

If that car can win the Grand Canyon Hard Race, it can win any Rally Race. And it did win with ease BTW.

Use a short wheelbase rallycar, such as the Focus or the Peugeot rallycars. They are very efficient and fast enough to win all the dirt/ice rallies in the entire special conditions hall. You don´t have to change anything on them, allthough I usually fiddle some with the rideheight and the dampers. Just keep the rideheight above 100 and the dampers between 2 and 4 and you´ll be fine.

+rep for that! 👍

I'd been trying to win at Grand Canyon Hard for a year. The Pugeot, the Subarus, the Dodge Ram, you name it, I'd tried it. I can't drive on dirt for beans. I'd seen the CZ-3 mentioned before but for some unfathomable reason I'd given it a pass.

Today I tried it. Slapped on a Stage 3 turbo and softened the shocks. Did a few practice laps to get the feel of the car and loved it! Easy to induce a drift, but more importantly, easy to control the drift; very forgiving if you get a bit too aggressive with the throttle.

I won the forward race by 15 seconds, the reverse by 18+. Now I'm off to play with my new Starion!

Thanks, man.

Thanks for the +Rep. :)

This car as well as the Mitsubishi Lancer VII Rally Car Super are great for dirt. Also the Subaru Impreza '03 Rally Car is available for more power hungry drivers. The thing about rallying is to not get your car into an extreme angle. Doing that wouldn't give it enough force to accelerate and maintain grip. A low-medium angle is the way to go, unless you are trying to make the back of the car hit the wall to avoid a penalty. The A.I. drive like pros at times on dirt, because they use perfect throttle control for maximum grip, and a low angle when drifting. Same thing goes for street drifting, you can get a good angle, but not one where you have to countersteer full lock, usually ending up in dirt.

drop down the power a little. all I can tell you for now is set the suspensions to soft front and rear, set the car to a more oversteer setting. raise that sucker and just mess with the LSD.
