Rolec dude, you dont know about the fine details of the GT series with the stuff your saying. Each cars gear ratios are modeled accurately, each cars chasis is measured and weighed, each cars weight ratio (front/back) (side/side) is calculated, tires are calcualted, weight to power ratio calculated, aerodynamics is calculated, springs, brakes, etc. All is calculated for each and every car. You must not no jack **** about cars and racing because your comparing GT4 to other videogames and I compare it to real life. Its not a racing simulator because you cant bump into car and continue in real life, you cant simulate fear of driving at 180 MPH a few feet away from other cars, in a game that dosnt have damage and negative consequences you cannot simulate drafting and blocking realistically. What do we call people in cars that race? Racecar DRIVERS. GT4 tells you how to drive/race around these track in these real life cars at high rates of speed. You must not read much about the series as there is many real life racecar drivers out there that use this game to practice on. Each track is modeled down to the inch, they take thousands of photos, measure every bend, measure distances between trees, etc. It simulates you driving a particular car on a track. The games racing mode is weak, always has been, but the fun of the GT series has always been about driving, trying to make the perfect run, where you steer the right way, you brake at the right moment, you accelerate at the right time, etc. If you dont appreciate it for what it is, fine, but dont knock it because you dont understand what its trying todo. I never gave the game a label, it has had its label since day one, "driving simulator".
Also, I think the reason you think all the cars handle the same is because your not taking the stupid assist that are on by default, you take those off and you tell a difference in the cars
