The Power Slide.

Ok I dunno how to do this. Around turns I hit the Emerengy Breaak or whatever its called, and I always just ram into the wall sideways, but facing the right direction. Is there a way to not hit the wall just slide into the next turn smoothely? If ithere is it must take some practice cuz I seem to be murderin the technique. :D I seems to work good, but raming into sides rails isnt somethin I like to do I want to do it good. So any help would be appreciated.
 
If you hold the E brake on the whole time, you're bound to spin out, I hold it on just enough to get the back to come out, then shift down a gear or two and hit the throttle. If you have enough HP and the TCS turned off/down, the back wheels should light up, then all you have to do is hold on some opposite lock and slide through the corner. Its a lot harder than it sounds, but if you get it right, its HEAPS of fun!
 
i think what ur talking about is drifting....

It all depends on the surface (i.e. dirt, pavement, wet, etc.) I normally drift only on dirt surfaces, because it give u a better angle going into some turns. If youre going to drift on hard surfaces, don't slam the e-brake, as you will got flyin into a wall or sandpit and that wouldn't be too good. Take trial mtn for example...before the last left turn tap circle twice and this should do the trick. After drifting a bit, slam the accelerator for the win!!

Personally, i don't like drifing on pavement because it is risky, but i admit it does give you an "adrenaline rush". hehe

Power, power and more power. You can do it with the e-brake I guess, but it's a lot easier to control with the throttle. The point of the e-brake is to cause the car to lose traction, but you can do the exact same thing in a more controlled way if you've got mad power. Take the GT-1 or any Skyline for example. If you're in 3rd gear or lower all you gotta do is stand on teh car and it'll smoke the tires and allow you to rotate the car perfectly through the corner. Just brake into the car and punch the gas while turning and you'll have yourself a real nice and sexy slide. Yummy. :D
 
most definatly called drifting. powersliding is mostly terms in stadium truck racing when ALL 4 wheels slide on dirt or whatever. in drifting you have control over the front wheels.
