Ladies and gents,

Welcome to the :"Praiano Rules" Caterham 7 Fireblade Challenge Club.

image.jpg

It's been a while now since I first thought of making a club, and the idea has grown up into this project.
As for the name, well it is inspired by the first club I ever joined, the z8cc by @JockeP22, and the set of rules suggested by the great @praiano63 shortly after he uploaded a tune sheet for the Cat7.
Here is a quick recap of what Mr P. proposed as regulations:

-550PP limit
-Sport tires. From sport hard to soft up to the pilots, depending of the driving skills of the competitors.
-No weight reductions.
-81 kg ballast allowed.(This was my weight when i was a young surfeur in top shape :lol:but not anymore :irked: and this bring the car to 450kg total weight)
-Fully custom suspension.
-Six speed gearbox.
-Double or triple clutch.
-Carbon drive shaft.
-Custom LSD.

So here are the basic regulations for our series, those we'll refer to as " the Praiano Rules".
Here is a link to a base PP550-SX tune of the Cat7 in the Praiano tunes garage: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...port-hard-tires.291084/page-131#post-10235630
(and to be fair and square, I have to confess my profound admiration for all the tuners on :gtplanet:, @shaunm80, @Motor City Hami, @Bowtie-muscle, @NEWDRIVER2 and all the people that make the game so much better for the community. So the name Praiano Rules is also a tribute to all of these guys who rule just as much as the great Mr P.)

I expect this club to start its racing days around mid-January.
In the meantime, I will run test races to finish setting the regulations. I will post the lobbies here if anyone is interested in helping with that.
I intend to race on Sundays, maybe around 14:00, 15:00 GMT, of course if it suits the racers interested in this club.

image.jpg

The final regulations will be posted later when proper test runs have been completed.
About colors, this club will run on a first come-first served basis.
As for the lobby settings I am very fond of heavy damage and high speed tire wear & fuel consumption.
It is not fixed but it will probably be the direction this club embraces.

image.jpg

On race manners, racing etiquette and global behaviour in the lobbies.
Although not strictly endorsing the GTP rules, I expect fairplay and sportsmanship from all racers.
And even if it is true I am not keen on giving penalties and bans, I will not hesitate if people persist in being stubborn after receiving warnings.
Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the hosts of the races I have joined (or planned to)so far; and give them the thanks they deserved for giving me the strength to jump in this club projectI have kept a project too long...
So big up to @FergusMik, @SmileyWRX, @Sick Cylinder, @CTR Driver, @Downhill Dino, @MannYhAvitZ, @Obelisk, @S_Bridge among others I am omitting for sure...

image.jpg

I remain open to any suggestions more experienced racers and hosts can bring to make this a more exciting gathering of Caterham Seven enthusiasts.
Looking forward (with a bit of anxiousness) to see what interest this club and thread can raise.

I hope this presentation is not bringing shame to the people I tagged in this thread.
I hope to race with you all very soon,

Very concise OP. 👍
Time of day, as proposed, probably won't work for me, but I'll happily sign up as a reserve driver. If the fates allow me a grid slot and the time of day, I'll be there.

On a side note. Being included on a list of GTP greats is certainly nothing to be annoyed at.

Premium deep violet pearl number 55 if these are ready to be submitted.

Nice one GK. Your first club! You wouldn't know it by looking at your OP. Great presentation.

And also the Caterham 7 is a great little car to drive. Loads of fun.
I'm certainly interested in how it develops and will join you if I can. 👍

Come on PD, it's nearly a premium. It just needs a few last "tweaks"!

Hello everyone and thank you all very much for the kind feedback.
The Gt6 community club for the PRCat7FCC has been launched hours ago. Its club ID is 1019936 https://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/gt6/user/#!/clubid/1019936/

Don´t forget the link for an example of a base tune for those rules, great driving pleasure....
CATERHAM SEVEN FIREBLADE `02 //550PP // SPORT TIRES

The link to the base tune has been added to the OP, thanks for noticing.👍

My error in the OP misled you, unfortunately numbers are not available for the Cat7:tdown:.
Premium deep violet pearl is yours though.

@gkgamer am I allowed to change the @praiano63 tune to make it fit my driving style and be 0.2 seconds slower?

Spoiler alert: this is the average amount of time that I seem to finish behind @praiano63 in the FITT competitions.

Yes @Motor City Hami , you are allowed to do what you please within the regulations...
About the .2 secs in the FITT competitions, I had noticed that it looks like there is a pattern there:dunce:

Come on PD, it's nearly a premium. It just needs a few last "tweaks

I was sure it was a premium, but no, not in this world...:banghead:

Yes. It just needs an interior to be detailed.

I'm interested, too. 👍

- @CTR Driver / premium deep violet pearl
I'd like to claim red then. There is a color in the game called 'Hellrot' or 'Hell red'.

My bags are packed (well just a toothbrush really) and I have chartered a pilot and a plane ready to take myself and my 7 to any worldwide
destination. The pilots name is Carl Charles Clayton VII. All I need to know now gamer is where race #1 is at?

My aim, as always, is to finish in the top 16.

Looking forward to this! Just joined the series club. Cheers for the iniciative. P.S. Can I enter with a silver bullet(ed) 7 (regarding colour, not bullet fast ;) ?

dug out my old Cat7 last night after Cappuccino meeting, done a few laps with my pathetic set up, hated it, bolted on the Praiano set up - Loved it! What a difference. If only I could get the same transformation for my Z8! I'm up for this, will join club later on.
