Here's my wife and I in front of the train depot going to the jungfrau(the real Eiger Nordwand) PD did a great job of recreating this area. We were both amazed by the GT5:P trailer.

So it's just up from Interlaken then? Can's say I'd made the connection. Off-topic a little: Did you go up the Piz Gloria opposite, it's where they filmed part of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"?

I feel like I almost recognize that mountain... lol  Man that is a beautiful landscape...

i have been skiing there all my life...(30+ years...)and as you can imagine,i was quit thrilled to speed there now with a car!!!!
great fun,and yes its a beautyfull place in the middle of the alps...

I too have skied in that region many times, and have also visited Piz Gloria. In my opinion the region has some of the greatest scenery in the Alps. It has always been my favourite track in GT5P.

PD knows the good stuff..
Cough COUGH!
Where is my Porsches, Lambos? COUGH!

You're very fortunate. I am a mountain biker and was able to take advantage of the fact I have friends there, they took me to eggishorn and some other great downhill in the region. That place is really spectacular. And no words or pictures can describe its magnitude. I feel very lucky to have experienced such a place!:dopey:

Ya we went through Interlaken on our way there. Interlaken was cool too, that lake is awesome! I didn't get a chance to see Piz Gloria- Or never recognised the name.

I have also skied many times at Murren. Not the greatest skiing in the world, but the scenery, with the view of the Eiger, Jungfrau & Monch, is absolutely stunning.

It's a little hard to imagine racing around the village though... :scared:

It is weird how video games can make you feel like you've been somewhere before. COD4 gave me a real feeling of Deja Vu when I saw some footage of Chernobyl recently.

Bit off topic but was the footage on the Channel 4 program "Life After People"?

Give that man a cigar!
It was, in fact, Life After People. But I think it was on The History Channel over here. Maybe Discovery. It was really eerie!

It was quite weird indeed. I wondered if they were using the game as an example for a while. Spooky place though.
