...yeh yeh, "licensing issues" ...

I reckon its' because Porsche keep bringing out new 911's every bloomin' 10 minutes!! This is the current available line-up of 911s...

What with the 997.1 Carrera Sport (ducktail) and the 997.1 GT2 that makes 24 variants.

That would rival the number of GT-R's in GT5!!

Still, would have been nice to have a Ruf RT12 in the game :(

Nobody said every Skyline, RX-7, S2000, Lancer, MX-5 and Imprezza had to be there either ;)
Did I miss any?

Yeah this game is retarded for it's over use of crap cars..

Look at the Online dealership, 6 variants of crappy Vette's out of 12 possible cars.. eff off with your retarded crap.

GT5 = the new standard in epic game failures. All other gaming production companies will look to this game as the benchmark for over promising and under producing game titles.

This thread is pointless. Nobody said every single 911 needs to be in the game...

You'd rather have the 11 Toyota Celica's, the 24 Subaru Impreza's, the 41 Nissan Skyline's, the 16 Nissan Silvia's, the 13 Nissan Fairlady's, the 25 Mitsubishi Lancer's, the 18 Mazda RX-7's, the 22 Mazda MX-5's, the 18 Honda S2000's, or perhaps the 13 Honda Civics?? - which is what we got instead!!

What I'm saying is we don't need more than 3 or 4 variations of any model! I'm all for Porsche.

I think (license permitting) there should have been at least the following Porsches in the game:

Carrera GT
997 GT2RS
997 GT2
997 Turbo
997 GT3RS
997 GT3
997 Carrera S
Cayman S
Boxster S

You'll notice that apart from the Skyline and mx-5, which ARE overdone, the other cars you mentioned have 2 models from a generation maximum.

It makes a lot of sense to me as a car enthusiast that the changes along a car's heritages are included, I like that a lot.
That they've only really done it to japanese cars so far (although the corvette gets a long way!) is a bit of a shame, but understandable.
I'm pretty sure PD will do more of this with other makes in the future.

Funny and I agree, I'd rather have at least one porsche than all those other cars.

Licensing issues is a joke and crap excuse if you ask me. It's always, EA has rights, with people ignoring the fact that Porsches are in Forza and GRID, two non-EA games. I'm starting to wonder if PD just doesn't like them or something.

I'd like to see older models too. I don't think there's a need for a GT3 and GT3RS.

I'm glad the crappy vettes are there, could be worse could be a bunch of crappy fiats and civics.

PD's head adviser for non-Japanese cars is probably a certain J.Clarkson :sly:

So was this just a joke thread or what? Because this obviously isn't the reason considering how many other cars exist in multiple configurations in GT....
