The recent Death Valley Seasonal Event: crashing console.

Hi,

I've been enjoying the Death Valley course in the latest Seasonal Event. I came 15th at my first attempt, then left the game. Next time I tried it I came 12th, but when I exited the event it crashed the console. Everything restarted ok, but 12th place was lost of course. So I tried again and came 11th. Unfortunately, the console crashed again at the same place when I was leaving the event. I haven't been back into this event and have been doing the Ayrton Senna tribute and Sierra time rallies, which I've managed to overlook until now.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with their console crashing after this event?
 
I can't even complete 3 laps without it crashing my system. Everything else works fine, including other games. Just when I go do death Valley it crashes in exactly the same place.
 
Yes, I have the same problem. It crashes after I complete the race. First there is this ding ding ding sound and then it eventually stops and freezes. Very annoying. I have tried clearing my cache but it is still happening.

Yes - I complete the race, but don't get the credits because it freezes at the end and goes ding, ding, ding. I won't be trying it again now as it is very annoying to put the time and effort in to complete ten laps and not get any credits.
