If you complete all of the single races in arcade mode on easy, medium and hard do you get anything new like tracks that arent in gran turismo mode... or a new car for your gt mode garage... i have got all 34 tracks but i wont bother doing the races on hard if im not going to get anything besides more %completion...if thats all i get ill just do them later...

You can complete the races on hard and you won't have to do easy and medium.

You get a Panoz Esperante GTR1 and two-odd percent for completing Arcade challenges.

Great... so ive waisted my time doing the races on easy and medium... well i may aswell do it

Hah.

Yeah, don't bother doing easy and medium, go straight to hard.

I feel like I'm forgetting something though... I guess it'll come to me soon enough... :indiff:

Yes, you are forgetting something. In order to get the Panoz, you have to place first in all 10 Time trials as well as complete all the Arcade races at the "hard" level.

At the beginning of the game, this is an excellent way to start, as you can either use the Panoz to pad your bank account for another 500,000cr or you can use it to decimate beginner and amateur races.

I hate to have to correct you Der Alta, but I'm going to anyways.
In the NTSC version you do not have to complete the arcade races in Hard mode to get the Panoz - you only have to complete the time trials. I know this because I did it in this order. Infact, I still havent beat all the arcade races on hard, I've only done up to the end of area 'E' so I would have access to all the tracks to do some drifting on in the free run mode. ..maybe I'll go finish that off right now....

I'm not sure if this is the same in the PAL version or not. I suppose if you want to know you could check the PAL prize car list.

I stand corrected. It's been sometime since I palyed through the Arcade mode, hence the memory fault.

Thanks for catching that.

and it's the same in PAL. only time trials are rquired.

Actually, I think it might be either/or. I haven't done the Time Trials in Arcade yet, but I'm pretty sure I found an extra Panoz in my garage after completing the races.

Okay, it's all coming back now.

As I remember, you only get the Panoz and two % for completing the time trials - if you complete the races you don't get anything, just a pat on the back and good for you.

Sorry for confusing everytone about that.

actually you do get something for completing arcade mode. You get % toward your completion, and u unlock a lot of cars for use in arcade mode. No not for Sim mode but u get stuff for Arcade.

Oh really? I didn't know this, I've never completed Arcade Mode.

You think we're all dumb or something?

Yous aid it once, we understood that. No need to repeat it. ;)

Ok let me clear a bit. In arcade mode you have two racing options: Time Trials (10 of them) and Arcade races. Both will get you some %, so without completing them you can't reach 100%.

Time Trial will beside the % get you Panoz Esperante GTR-1 in your garage in Simulation mode if you win all 10 Trials. Only thing I am not sure here is that: do you get % completion if you place in 2nd or 3rd in time trial too, or do you have to win to get %? Because to get the Panoz you must win 'em all.

Arcade racing will get you % for winning and will unlock more tracks that become available in arcade mode and a few more cars. And you have to win at least 30 or so races in easy mode to unlock all tracks and you have to win all races in all modes to get access to all cars in arcade mode. You have a completion status drawing in the menu which shows your progress. The only good thing (or a legal cheat) is, that if you race in hard mode, you automatically get awarded wins for easy and medium mode and don't need to race them. Similar goes for medium mode - you get easy mode awarded, but not the hard one.

All wins in arcade and time trials will get you arround 30.5% of game completion (I know that for sure, because I got all gold license tests, won all time trials and all arcade races before even starting the simulation mode and that was the % shown in game).

EDIT: just corrected a few grammatical errors.
