Hi,

I am having some difficulties with completing this course in the American Race in A-spec (expert or extreme Level).

I have been using the Ford GT LM Race car Spec 2 tuned and with soft racing wheels. The car spins out so easily with very little throttle. I switched to the Ford GT 06, which handles better, but still I can't get a podium spot.

I know its my driving.....BUT what is the best car to use to complete this course? It has to be an American Car.

Any suggestions. :)

You using a wheel? if so is it calibrated? I found out recently that you need to depress the pedals fully after the wheel does its spinning thang to calibrate it or the brakes can cause the car to spin on account of them not being calibrated, just a thought.

Otherwise I agree RE the 'vette :)

You guys are quick!

I would....but its a Chevy:yuck:! I have a hard time being a ford guy and all:)

I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

When/if you guys try the GT LM Race car spec 2, do you notice the same issues with spinning out too easy on that course, also?

I know its my driving first and foremost, but is there something else I can do to improve the grip?

First I've heard of this. Can you provide a link to this source please?

I used the RM Corvette and the ACR Viper to win this race.

Thanks 👍 Wasn't doubting you, your post was in fact the first time I've seen calibrating the pedals mentioned. Guess I'll do that from now on lol.

all good bro, I didn't think you were :)

I too was surprised. Not sure how much difference it will make but I'll find out tomorrow when my BoB (finally) finished 'ring 24hr raintastic enduro lol

No, I never heard about calibrating the brakes before. I use a DFGT.

I'll give it a try.

that might also explain my driving difficulties.....well, maybe not!

dude, exactly when do you do calibrate the pedals?? once the wheel stops turning when the game starts?

yeah man. I'll be doing mine tonight, hopefully I'll be spinning out only half as often lol

I used the Art Morrison 'Vette.

I originally beat it with the Corvette with race mods.

But since then, I've redone it with the Corvette C5-R, and the 2J.

Well I tried it out and it did not work like I was expecting it to. I pressed the brake and gas all the way down while the wheel was doing it's calibrating and then went to Sarthe with the Enzo. No braking power whatsoever lol. I was braking well in advance of the turns and still slid through them. I then unplugged my wheel and did not press down the pedals like I have always done and the car acted normally then. I guess I won't worry about the calibrating the pedals from now on. At least I learned something new about GT5!

I won it with a 2010 NASCAR

You did it whilst it was turning? that might be why, try doing it after the turning that's what I read... I'll be trying mine within an hour so I'll report back :)

Head over to the tuning forum, there's some great ideas over there. I used Clueless Tunes "Dodge Lamb" tune. Very fun!
