That sucks. :(
Who's nanna?
His nanna... like nany..

Hey man, that really sucks, I know how you feel, I have lost family also. Good luck on moving on.

Not to sound like a conceited bastard, but...

If I understand right, your posting about something that happened in 1999 correct?

Or am I missing a detail?

Not to say anything bad, I'm just a bit confused as to what your trying to say.

My condolences, regardless.

That is sad man...recover from your loss and try to get over it (not sounding angry or pissed, in a nice way.)

Nanna = Australian slang for grandmother.

Well he's saying that it was in Feb. of '99, this is June.
I think he's just sharing something that's been bothering him, and he wanted to get off his chest, which is pefectly understandable. Just because something like that was years ago doesn't mean it can't still affect someone from time to time.

I'm sorry for your loss.

You have my condolences as I have gone through the same thing you have. It's such a tough time to go through, even harder at that age.:nervous:

Sorry for sounding like an ass, I just didn't understand for a minute.

But I can understand wanting to get it off your chest...my condolences man.

Sorry, to hear about that man. I hope just gettin out to someone even if its us GTPlanet member you don't know will help get it off your mind so much.

I feel you, man...I lost my mother in December 2001, and then my father just vanished in October 2003...I know the last one isn't the same thing, but...

So...yeah.

My condolences. It must be really hard, especially at your age. Must be even harder to lose a parent...

My grandpa died 12 days after my birthday I think. He didn't get to see me at all, I was born in Japan and he lived in China and this was before the age of e-mails.

That's sad to hear especially to lose them at a young age, you have my condolences too.

I know it's hard when you lose someone, but would she have been happy to know it was bringing you down?

Instead of being sad about her passing in 1999, use each year to celebrate all the amazing things she did in her life, and live your own life to the full, because life is fragile.

Assuming she was old when she died (a grandmother), I'm sure she did all she wanted to do in her lifetime and had no regrets, if that makes you feel any better.

My condolences, friend, and I hope you feel emotionally strong enough to carry on again very soon.

He lost his dad as well, it's a lot easier to deal with losing a family member who's lived a long time, but to lose your dad at the age of 6 isn't quite the same. The advice still sands as good advice, but it's easier said than done.

I've also lost my grandmother and father. My grandmother also died in 1999 and my father died a few years ago. My condolences.

Well, my Gran died 18 months ago, and in the last years of her life I spent a lot of time with her, as I was the only member of the family in this part of the country. The closeness that we had is something I miss, and being able to bring her pleasure in simple little ways, like telling her the flowers that were out at that time of year. So last year I (the perennial bachelor) set out to get married, and have someone in my life that I could again have that closeness (and more) with. I'm now engaged to a beautiful young Moroccan woman who makes me laugh and who gets jealous if I even mention another woman...:). Thanks Gran.

Look for something positive, and imagine them smiling at you, encouraging you.
