why, thanks buddy....yes i have a dark red one also, and the race car ofcourse....excellent little car..

course people always look at this as an american car where as it was mostly deigned and engineeried my Italian supercar manufacturer Lola....there something about that car that just isnt American (no offence)
 
Yes I also see a resemblence to Italian cars (cause I don't know if Ford could have a created a car that looks that good without a little "extra" help).
 
the original 1963 model was actually British designed and later modified by Lola to great effect during Le Mans, if there was ever a car that was cast between a classic British Lotus and Italian Ferrari, its the GT40...some may call me insane but i can see a glimpse of the Elise in there and the classic Ferrari 246

wow that's low..I never realized they were that low to the ground....there's no way i'd ever fit in one unless I cut my head off.:D

yep...40 inches from the tarmac to the roof of the car...hence the name GT40

whats a machine....dont they look fantastic?
 
Yeah, but those are some LOW quality pictures there...it's a real turn off.

Actually, if you look really closely at the original GT-40's you'll notice a "bump" in the roof on the Driver's side.
Dan Gurney is one of the men who drove the GT-40 to the great disappointment of the italians. The bump was to fit Gurney's helmet as he happens to be about 6'4" tall.
If he fit, I'll fit. Just don't tell my wife about the pit girls.:lol:

damn I can't believe he fit in that....and I think the pit girls come with the car..it's like a package deal hehe:D
 
I passed a gt40 on the highway not too long ago. I was going about 118mph at the time, but for the very short time I saw it, I loved it. Ford gt40 is a truly awesome car, I have a couple of them on GT3. 👍 :cheers: :bowdown:
