The Sims 2 system requirements

I've seen the system requirements on the official sims 2 webpage. however i've read the system info on some people with video cards that are not listed by maxis/EA. I was wondering if my PC can run it. Here is my pc info:

2.4 GHz Pentium 4
256 MB ram
40.0+GB of hard drive space
nVidia Riva TNT2 Pro 32MB (pretty sure it isn't T&L compatible)

Thanks in advance for your responses. (sorry if i make some of you angry, since people in other forums keep on asking "is my PC good enough?")
 
Could someone tell me if my system could at least get like 60fps with a setup like this:

Compaq Presario SR1126NX AMD® Athlong™ XP 3000+, 512MB, 120GB, DVD+R+RW, CD-ROM, 56K, NIC, XP and a radeon 9600pro 128mb

I know what the min requirments are but I don't wanna play Sims 2 at 20 fps if my comp is to slow
