1080p- ok quality. Full race, cockpit view, 1st place.

No driving aids, stock turbo.

You did a great job. I gave up after about 90 minutes on this event, but I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah definitely try it again, it's a fun event. You need to tweak the tune for sure.

I'm sending my PS3 away soon to get the blu ray disc fixed (won't recognize movie discs easily- but plays games fine)..

So I'll have to go in to GT5 and take a pic of the settings for this race before I back everything up and send it away. I'll try to do that today. Damn I'm going to be without my PS3 for about two weeks! That sux. :ouch:

If you use rotary junkie's (from RKM) tune for the '05 impreza it's an easy race, I was setting low 1:34s and overtook the r34 at the corkscrew.

Yeah I could have tweaked the tune more, and gotten more high rpm HP and Torque by installing mid or high rpm turbos/experimenting and whatnot. Once I won already I didn't see the point though as you can only collect the prize once.

Wow, you do slide a lot. I set it up real tight. I wonder, did you use a controller or a stearing wheel?

I used a controler and put in low 34's.

Nope I used G25 with slightly modded throttle and brake spring.. Basically just a lot stiffer spring- in a Sim-Seat SR2 Platinum racing cockpit: http://www.sim-seats.com/Platinum_SR-2_Simulator.html

Here's all my settings if anyone wants to check them out. If not listed like flywheel, they are all fully upgraded..

Brake balance is hugely important to getting the car to turn-in after braking, going into a corner. The more you raise rear brakes compared to the front, the more the car will angle in while braking, but it will also be more difficult to control.

I would NOT GET the reinforcement if I had it to do over- I got that a long time ago.

EDIT- I hope you guys listing your times aren't using any driving aids.. LOL. I'm not even using ABS.. Maybe after I get my PS3 back I'll see how fast I can do it, like a long time trial. That would be fun..

Well I am using ABS, but that's it. All the others apart from SRF just slow you down really. That time trial sounds fun.

How are you able to set the torque ratio to 20/80? Max I could set mine is 35/65

I bought the upgrade. You have to buy it to get more control. IRL an STI's diff can be adjusted - that's why you can adjust it w/o an upgrade in GT5 (I think).

nice vid. one odd thing is that when i did it i took the lead in the same place, but all my laps had to be 1.34s to get me there. Does the AI vary that much or was I just unlucky with the running order (I remember some Prologue challenges were impossible given some running orders).

Yeah, I completely forgot about buying the upgrade, I thought I already had it. Thanks!

Nice video and driving.

Can i ask you what kind of euqipment did you use to record it ?
Thanks. I just used a Canon SX230 HS that records in 1080p- I have a gorrila-pod (flexible tripod) that I stuck on top of my racing rig seat.

EDIT- oh I forgot, it is on a 52" Sharp Aquos from 2007 too. There is a 7.1 home theater settup which the camera records sound from - but just through the stereo mini mics on the camera, not from a line or anything.

Thanks, not sure but the times seemed consistent every time I tried it. Maybe there is a slight variance? That would be interesting to find out. I just sent my PS3 packing back to SONY for a repair (blu-ray disc drive quit recognizing movies), so I can't play for up to 2 weeks!!

Did YOU use SRF ? Thanks (nice post)
LOL- HELL no! I didn't even use ABS, that's just how I like to play. :)

No prob.. Yeah I noticed lots of people asked that in other threads. Must be they all forgot to upgrade, or thought they already did because they could adjust it at all. Makes sense.
