The stig from Top Gear is?

Perry McCarthy here is a picture to prove it:

Originally Published in hardback in 2002, this edition brings Perry`s story completey up to date. And includes his retirement and subsequent comback, in 2001 as the Bentley driver at Le Mans. Who didn`t get to drive thhe Bentley, though to how he became BBC Top Gear`s mystery driver, `The Stig'.
 
It was fairly common knowledge that the original Stig was Perry McCarthy. The question is this: is new Stig Perry?

How did you find out for yourself that it was Perry McCarthy also i bet the new stig, is just the same bloke other knowen as Perry McCarthy in new stig suit.

Perry and my father are members of the same club. They know each other. They know lots of people who know each other. My father and Jeremy & Francie Clarkson are acquaintances. This is how I found out, but it was also published in the British newspapers when someone alleged that the Top Gear lot were a bunch of hooligans, and McCarthy was named as being a driver on the show.
