After having watched BMI's Touge 200 races many times, I was inspired to run a similar race in GT4. So for a week, I've been trying out all different cars to see what kind of times I could get out of them.
For rules, I chose to run Normal El Capitan, cars under 200hp (except the Garaiya which comes at 201), S3 tires and all mods allowable except Nitro. Here are some of the times I've gotten so far so enjoy! (I'm sure you guys can get better times)

Civic Type R '98 hp 199 *2.03.661
Gather's Civic hp 185 *2.02.593
Cappuchino hp 126 *2.02.309
Lupo GTI Race hp 197 *2.02.308
Focus ST170 hp 197 *2.02.253
Seat Ibiza hp 199 *2.01.909
Spoon Fit hp 194 *2.00.976
BMW 2002 hp 197 *1.59.708
Miata ('04) hp 199 *1.58.436
Corolla Levin hp 199 *1.57.788
MR2 6-spd ('02) hp 192 *1.56.758
ASL Garaiya hp 201 *1.54.114
Lotus 111R hp 198 *1.53.262
Caterham hp 199 *1.51.007
Suzuki GSX/4 hp 199 *1.48.465

There are several cars I want to try but haven't gotten around to yet like the first gen MR2, Civic siR, CRX, VW Gti (first gen), Mazda AZ-1.

Anyway, if you guys have any advice or suggestions feel free to chime in.

That's pretty cool. I've been trying to replicate some of the featured cars in BMI/Hot Version. I made a list of them HERE.
It can give you some ideas as to other cars you can use. A few are from the Togue 200, and some are from Togue Max. A friend is borrowing my Evo Strikes Back DVD right now with more Togue 200 cars. I'll try and get it back from him and add to that list.

Sorry about that. The Touge are mountain roads that have been a popular (illegal) racing venue in japan for some time and is catching up in popularity in America. Many people say drifting originated on the Touge and the Drift King (Keiichi) gained popularity racing in the Touge. Initial-D is also based on Touge racing.

The Touge 200 is just a race that they do in the Best Motoring Videos where they race cars under 200hp on the touge to see who's the fastest. It's quite exciting to watch and you could probably find some clips online somewhere. There's also the Touge 280, where the cars are under 280hp and there's the Touge Max, where there is no limit to hp. Hope that helps.

Thanks VQuick. Will definately try getting the right color combo/ right wheels when I've got some more money and time. Hehe
