The trading issue

What does this mean, the trade option, does it mean u really trade them, like trading a 787b for a GT-1 or any other car?

I had an extra Pagani Zonda Race car and 787b, but I sold them , I would really like to make a exchange. I am in search for the Impreza LM , but I cant get it!!!!!
