Well folks, I figured it would be fair to give everyone over the holidays some time to visit their families and so on, so I extended the deadline for the better part of a week. This post will also serve as a space-holder for standings and results of the final week. It's been a blast folks, glad to see everyone participate.

Cheers
Corey

Motorland? Reverse?
You sadist. :scared:

I really love this track (although more in the forward direction) in small, low-powered cars, but in these, completing clean laps will be challenging, to say the least. :scared:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS[infinite]S[/infinite].

I do not care what time I set, I will do this one, provided I can get GT4 to WORK!

Had a first trial of this combo, it's actually a lot of fun, but there are no splits for this circuit, so I guess this'll be a quiet-ish week discussion-wise.

We could, like they did in the WRS recently discuss a laptime range, if Corey agrees. Not specific times, of course, but for example:

Range 1: 38.000 - 38.799
Range 2: 38.800 - 39.599
Range 3: 39.600 - 40.399

Range 4: 40.400 - 41.199
Range 5: 41.200 - 41.999
Range 6: 42.000 - 42.799

Range 7: 42.800 - 43.599
Range 8: 43.600 - 44.399
Range 9: 44.400 - 45.199

This way one could conceivably say "I'm currently running a Range X time" at the moment without giving too much away.

We could make that work. 👍 If the WRS can do that, why can't we?

Cheers.
Corey

I based the times of what seems conceivable in my car (well, RJ's car but you know what I mean. ;)) but I will have to ask for a DNA sample as proof of human origin if anyone needs a range lower than Range 1!!!

*Edit* End of an 80 mile test, consistently running in Range 3, with the odd dip into Range 2.

I'm running in the range 4 or 5.... almost getting into 3 will be things that I can't do lol!

oldmodelt shakes his heads and sighs. He knows that being orange isn't the end of the world. :indiff: And promises never to call the other kids yellow.

Currently running in Range 3 at the moment, as well as a lap that would have been in Range 2 if I didn't understeer into the pits :grumpy:.

My fastest lap is in range 2, but if there's one way in which I'm not doing things, it's "consistently," as Smallhorses described his lapping. :ouch:

In range 6 currently.

edit: Have moved into range 5.

Just out of range two. Forty laps of just outside range two. :banghead: That pit entrance is the devil of me.

Cheers
Corey

Now running consistently mostly in Range 2 with the odd step up into Range 3. 👍
Took 3/10ths off laptime today. :D

 @ oldmodelt's "Orange" comment! Good to see you're up into Range 5 now! :)

Merry Christmas to all!

I knew you'd do that eventually. :) I'm pretty sure that your lap is faster than mine is, but probably only by a tenth or so, judging by your comment before that you were able to make an "odd dip into Range 2," and that now you're three tenths faster than that. Perhaps I'll drive for some more laps, but I'm not especially hopeful that I'll achieve a faster time - it's tough to nail every corner here.

Mid-Range 3, hoping for a range 2 lap before I'm happy with my time.

I ran a faster lap, still in Range 2 but 0.123 seconds better. I think that my time will be really close to Smallhorses', but I have no idea which one of us will be faster. I can still improve - I did a lap 0.03 faster that was dirty in the left kink in the straight after the first corner :dunce: - but I'm unsure whether I will be successful in doing so.

My last day of vacation for the year used up today, so I spent an hour or-so having another run at this. 👍
Lost another 2/10ths, still in Range 2 though, but I think I'm done now.

Yeesh.

After over 50 laps, where most of the laps that were going to be in range 2 had ended in the pit lane entry wall, I have finally reached my target of a Range 2 time 👍:).

I concede defeat. There's no way I can shave 0.2 seconds, so you've sealed the championship. 👍

Well, sorry all for not being here sooner. I had some other errands to run but now I'm here. With the results. Posting them here in a few.

Edit: Posted now. What a close race!

Cheers,
Corey

Congratulations, Smallhorses, for winning the championship - you really asserted your dominance throughout, and here you showed your determination with several sizable improvements during the week. As you can see, had you not done that last session, I would have been a few hundredths ahead, but as it is, I never could have attained a sub-39 second lap.

Unbelievable! Thanks to Austin343 for running me so close and forcing me to keep improving! I was absolutely bloody determined to run a sub-39s lap and it was considerably frustrating to chip my way down too!

Awesome racing throughout, can't thank Corey enough for organising this, and I'm looking forward to seeing what 2.0 brings and who is going to want me in one of their spare seats...:trouble:

That's pretty much it right there...

If you're familiar with cars that feel like they're crawling but in fact go like 🤬 off a shovel, or cars that don't know what "understeer" means - oversteer is a totally different story - and only ask workman's wages we might get into an agreement.

Here's a quick (crappy quality :guilty:) vid of my lap, and shows my downward progression of 3 saves before it 39.196, 39.076, 39.053 & finally 38.968 if you look closely at the replay theatre screen before the replay!

Cracking good , we shared many a same line but you had a way more capable car (And you yourself as a driver) it seems. Thankyas.

Cheers,
Jetboy
