GT2 100%er here. Over 90% on GT3. I am "cleaning up" my competititon's memory card.
For me the Time trials are going to be just that, TRIALS. I've only beaten the first three or four so far.
No cheats, no Gameshark codes.
But in a lot of ways GT2 is loads easier. Although there are some truly stupid manufacturer's cups.

In GT2 it's hard to have attention deficit because with the exception of the Enduros no race is over 5 laps. I do wish you could save in the middle of a series.

how do you cheat in gran turismo? what is there to cheat in? the only cheat i know is the hold L1+R1 at the difficulty for arcade, and thats not really even a cheat. and the seattle glitch.

100% in GT3.
All Gold in B License and Rally License.
2 cars short of getting every car in the game.

After I got all the cars and completed my database, I am going to start from 0% and go through the game without selling cars or repeating races. I am only buying the 2 cars needed for races that you cannot win (A Mercedes and a Speed 6). Going to keep the number of cars and mileage it a minimum.

I commend you on your desire to run the whole thing as "perfectly" as possible.
You should run a search for RoadHazzard's thread on this.
I'll go and see if I can find the title for you.

*edit*
Found it!
Use the search function and the key words "perfect game".
RoadHazzard did a VERY complete compendium of his game. He completed it in less than 275 indicated days. I don't know if you want to go to that kind of trouble, But it will make the trip easier.
Hope that helps.

I just restarted and did all the licences (bronze for now) and TimeTrials all complete. The racing is the easy part :)

I've seen it done in 220 days...
The thing is you can't go back to redo your license either because then you'll be spending extra days. I plan to write a day by day account of the game also (lap by lap on the more significant races).

No you haven't. That's impossible.

The game CANNOT be finished in less than 229 game days. I know, I did it. Then RoadHazzard did it :D Although it seems neither of us knew about the other and we finished about a month apart.

I saw a screenshot. The person called it minimal 100%. It was on some other GT3 board. The background was black. Damn it, that's all I can remember. And I tried to google for it and I can't find it - BAH!

Well, 'tis gonads. Doing each licence once and each race once takes 228 days, plus the start day 1 gives 229 days. Both me and RoadHazzard did it, accidentally independently confirming each other.

Anything less means someone's been at the 304 Editing in mk's programme.

Hahahaha, I should had noticed that you were from England since you wrote it in your location. But didn't notice it until you said gonads. LOL. That could be it since the guy has all gold including S license. I'll be doing a run myself anyway, so I'll find out.

Well, if you're looking for a step by step run down of what it takes, Hop over to my compendium (link in sig).

I painstakingly detailed every step I did from 0 to 100%.

This was my third trip through, and I recently restarted again just for fun.

Good luck,

Till later,

AO

kideng - the thread is at granturismo.com forums. And it's another 229 day game - that puts the club up to three of us :D

Ah, the screenshot was so blurred that I thought it was 220. :-P
So I wasn't going crazy... or maybe I am. But I'm going to do a 229 days 100%.

Wow...the club just got a new member!!!
