The ultimate solution to boredom in GT5: THE RANDOM RACE EVENT

(First of all, before someone complains or notes that there is a similar thread from the past:
- The "Random Race Generator" mentioned in that other thread is different from my idea/meant in another context.
- I had this idea without knowing that there is a similar one (after I searched and found it here) :). Therefore I would like to stress that I didn't steal this idea from anyone :) !)

So many people are bored of GT5 because they already achieved (almost) everything, e.g. golding (almost) all A-/B-Spec races, special events, licenses, level 40 A-/B-Spec, etc. Apart from the seasonal events which are updated from time to time, there aren't actually any further new challenges. So the idea of a "Random Race Event" (or whatever you want to call it) came to my mind:

The only thing YOU have to do is to a choose a car you would like to use for this race/event. Then GT5 will generate everything else by random:
- Track (either the existing GT5 tracks or "real" random tracks like from the Course Maker)
- Laps (i.e. the number)
- Opponents (of course based on the car you chose, i.e. "fast" opponents if you choose a fast car, "slow" opponents if choose a slow car)
- Weather condition (dry/wet, day/night, etc.)

I think this would make GT5 permanently interesting for those who achieved (almost) everything.

What do you think guys ?

Edit: Maybe you can post which kind of random races would be funny/interesting to you ! Just think of e.g. the following random race:

- Car: X2010
- Opponents: X2010 :D
- Track: Nürburgring Nordschleife
- Laps: ?
- Weather condition: Wet and night :D

I think it's a good idea. Would you receive credits for these races?

I have to admit, I'm not close to being finished with GT5 yet, but when I get bored of the grind, I hop on over to the Online section of these boards. There are pretty interesting events being set up by really nice people.

I just signed up for the Monday Night Endurance event, and now I have something to keep me busy this week... getting my car ready for that.

Good idea!

Nevertheless the AI needs to be much faster, they seem so out of depth when they use faster cars than you to remain competitive.

We need a simple event creator, or better AI to race against. A random generator won`t solve the problem of easily getting a 20 second + lead against the rest of the competition who stay together in a slow, slow pack. Having to choose a car that is WAY underpowered just to get a decent race is silly.

We have arcade mode, which pretty much lets you do what your `random race` idea does. It`s just insufficient because the AI race like my mom.

Hm, I haven't thought about it. Of course, you should receive credits. Maybe it should be based on the difficulty of the generated race, e.g. fast cars, difficult track => many credits and vice versa.

Hm yes, I agree.

Hm, but arcade mode isn't that random, isn't it ?

Event generator was available in GT2, not sure why it's gone.

Really  ??? I didn't know !
