Time to talk about my favorite type of engine: V10s! 😎

What is your favorite V10-engined car? Mine is the Lamborghini Huracan for its more aggressive/urgent sound (as apposed to the "wail" of the likes of the Lexus LFA). Please feel free to talk about your experiences with V10s and why you like them

(Hyper)Dream car has been the CGT ever since it was released.

Awsome duo! My fav's probably the LFA out of these two. They say it is at least 2 octaves higher in the cabin

Fun fact: Speaking of music, the reason V10s sound so good is actually to do with how many cylinders are firing at once. In a V10, the vibrations overlap in the exhaust and produce the middle C note!

Well, I know that, but...Why? How??? Did the engineers at Beemer have an epileptic fit and thought they were going to build a V10 instead of a V8?!
That's seriously cool, actually 🤣
Could be something to do with BMW F1 V10 engines.
Or there was a race for who is going to put it in a saloon/estate first.
2009 there was the rs6 v10.

It was at a time when the Germans were in a performance saloons space-race. Six's replaced by V8s and V8s replaced by V10s, before emission regulations put a stop to it all and smaller capacities with turbos became the norm. Power outputs kept rising but we lost some aural pleasure along the way.

Always has a soft spot for those early Gallardos. Up until quite recently their values stayed quite low, perhaps due to their Audi parts-bin nature, but they've now gone from being a £60k car to a £100k one.
