This might be the dumbest question some of you will ever read by today after 2h of grinding I manedged to beat Vettel on Monza with half a second (good for me) but after that I thought I'd take on Nürberg GP and after a couple of minutes I thought I'd practice it instead of retrying. Got out my X1 from the garage and it runs nothing like the one in the challenge? Different gearbox setup I thought but nah, can't get it to equal to the one in the challenge. How could that be?

In the challenge you use racing softs. The one they give you is equipped with racing hard tires, maybe you haven't bought the tires?

Tires are racing soft, just overhauled and chassie repair. The thing is the gearbox, for exampel when I corner a specific corner with my x1 carbon I always have a higher gear, 4th instead of 2nd in the challenge. The car in the challenge drives easier. It's hard to explain but someone must have noticed the same thing? I changed gearratio but then my top speed just droppes.

:dunce:

Vettel's has wider gearing ratios than the carbon.

Oh, the market place. People without golds getting carbon X1.

It does not appear to be the same car i agree with you there.. Plus keep trying the Vettel Diet you can loose days so easily .

try to set downforce @ standart

would say in vettel challenge you got ~20-25~ more (than 50/50)downforce points

I have a feeling downforce is the culprit here.

I am wondering this as well. I find the car you drive in the challenge handles horribly, way too much understeer compared to the one you win for getting bronze. I can pull low 1:03s at Suzuka in practice easily, but in the challenge I'm in the high 1:05s.
