Bleh, I used to manually patch the uxtheme.dll with the recovery console on the windows disk. But the neowin patcher is a tad more convinent.

On my 2003 Server box, at home I just have the standard Royal theme. Although I hate it, but i'm too lazy to change it. At work on XP I use HmmXP which I love to bits.

Meh. I don't think my comp as a small arse drive.. Nor does it have a Big Arse drive. Some people are lucky..

I always give my drives names that contains the word arse. Computing wouldn't be the same if I didn't. I've got a second 40gb unpartitioned drive that I should set up raid with, but I just can't be arsed to do things with my pc these days.

Oh and is there a link to that iconset that is used with Ashen?

Atleast you can say that word in America and the adults won't be offended.

I gave up on multi-patchers when the Neowin one decided to go haywire for some reason, so I now manually patch. Here's where you can find uxtheme.dll's for all different builds of XP and Server 2003. Then you just use a nifty app like Replacer to replace the old with the new and provided you downloaded the correct DLL for your build, you can't go wrong. ;)

I never got how you manually patched that thing so I just found a program that did it and didn't use no resources. You can use other themes than the one's on their site as long as it's a visual style file. http://themexp.org/

For some reason my Yz Dock won't stay on my desktop. Whenever I turn off the computer then turn it on, it disappears then i have to install it all over again and add all the icons in the dock again. How do I make it stay there? :indiff:

It's still installed on your computer, you just have to go and find the proper shortcut to start the dock. Put it in your programs>startup folder, that way it will load on startup. 👍

Yeah. I got the yz dock myself and I seem to not find the startup folder...

The Startup program group in the start menu maybe? Or if all else fails:

Code:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Whoa, this thread is like a tomb of banned members.

But I have a reason to resurrect.

I have been alternating between Black Mesa v2 and MacroXP for, like, over a year now...

and I'm starting to get bored. But all the other ones I try are too fiddly or too bright. Any suggestions? I like gray.
