We went down to New York for the long weekend. Despite the 16-degree weather, we walked down to Times Square - all the bright lights lured us the ten blocks from our hotel. When we got there, we stood like, well, tourists, gaping at all the electronic billboards. And then, across the square, I saw it: the world's largest Windows error message - on a two-story high e-billboard (I guess everything really is bigger in New York). It was the only billboard in the entire square with absolutely no movement - since the PC running it had obviously frozen.

I just had to post it

That must have been the biggest shame Microsoft ever been through. Think about it, a Windows error message appearing on a giant screen in the middle of Time Square. Hahaha...

"Video and text output" demonstrates that this is a problem with a program running on Windows, not a problem with Windows.

But it still makes them look bad.

As true as it is Skip, people will still find it as a way to rag on Windows. Pretty funny though, and scary knowing there's an error message 3 times your size somewhere.

Please, not another unjustified Windows-bashing thread.

Spotting these things is how I know that, even though I've overlaid some dress sense and social skills, I'm a geek. I love seeing these things around. It always makes me laugh. Not at the OS, but at the chumps who are SysAdmins for the downed app. "That's some KeepAlive going there guys! You muppets."

Thank you.
