My friend Joey's mom died on the 21st. Her funeral was held on the 24th around 1:00pm. I attended and said my goodbyes. After the funeral, family and friends headed over to his house. Our local grocer Publix provided Joey's family with free meat and stuff like that from their Deli department. A nice gesture indeed. Thing is, the day after the funeral, everyone who ate the Deli meat is sick. 50+ people spent their Christmas throwing up until there was nothing inside their stomaches. I don't know why I'm telling you all this. Maybe it's because I have nothing better to do at this time of night. Maybe I'm just thankful that I didn't eat the Deli meat. Anyway, not only does his Christmas suck this year with his mom's death and all, but he feels like crap that everyone had to spend Christmas sick. Now doesn't that just suck?

I seem so lighthearted about the whole thing. I feel horribly for him though. I couldn't begin to imagine the pain he's going through. :(

That is a cristmas none of you will ever forget. I feel sorry for you and especially your friend.

Damn, that isn't going to turn out too nice for the grocer... plus the fact that they put it on for everybody after such a bad loss!

Sue the Nazi asses of Publix.

Those bi*ches.

Mad Cow disease was found in US Cow's, maybe that's the cause of your friends mom's family's sickness.

Actually, it had only been found in one cow. To my knowledge anyway.

Now we shall put a beef ban on American beef! Ha! We will see how they like that!

Just Kidding! :p

is your mate on anti-depressants? If anything else happens I think he'll need them.

Try to do something to cheer him up, for everyones sake

Anti-depressants is not situational. He won't need them as much as support from friends.

That is horrible. I hope his mother's death at least wasn't a surprise. I think that would've made it a lot worse.

She had cancer. They knew it was going to happen, thing is, they estimated her final days to be around March.

Concept, Prayers go to you, and your friend. Cheer up man.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that, man.

Makes my unwanted Christmas present of the stomach flu seem not too bad...
