spill your guts, let all the anger flow out!

ill start.

britney spears - i love rock n roll.

what a ****ing joke.

Ozzy Osbourne's daughter, that fat whore, with the cover of Madonna's "Papa don't preach." what a joke, just as bad as Whorey Spears...

That current cover of Don Henley's 'The Boys of Summer'
Simple Minds' cover of the Peter Gabriel song 'Biko'
Paul Young's version of Joy Divison's 'Love will tear us apart'

Rumple - good call

What is with all the covers in the top 40 - I mean, The Logical Song?!?

Since when is Britney Spears doing so many covers?
Since she ran out of inborn talent?
She's cute and can sing...some...
but her "own" material, come on:lol:

I too loathe the Britney cover.

I also have to nominate Gareth Gates' cover of Elvis.
And Westlife's cover of "Uptown girl".

But that's because I loathe those particular artists.

Vat, assuming it's the Scooter version of The Logical Song that you're talking about, it will grow on you! I too hated it at first listen, viewing it as sacrilege, but it's a real grower!

Ugh yep they both suck alright, is the elvis song suspicious minds?

I cant think of any bad covers at the moment, all I can bring up are great Black Sabbath covers.

p diddy - come with me.

he can change his name but we will never forget.

but on another note i thought that the song with faith evans, you know the one "every breath i take, every move i make", was really good.

Madonna - American Pie
(This was a great song, I never get tired of McLean's original version...and then the Pop Queen had to butcher it)

I'm of the opinion that nearly every cover song sucks if it's your hit single. Unless you have the talent to prove it, and have been in the industry for 10 years, please, oh please...do not do cover songs. (I'm really begging...)

I suppose an exception can be made for rarely heard or very old songs, but you still have to have talent.

"Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" sung by William Shatner. I truly wish I was kidding.

I guess I don't follow pop charts enough to have realized there was an epidemic of cover tunes.

Twisted Sisters cover of "Leader of the pack" and "Crazy train"

I've butchered a few pigs and cattle in my life, but never with as much audacity as these guys...

AO

I heard some bad ones on a Megadeth EP the other day: Paranoid (Black Sabbath), Problems (Sex Pistols), No More Mr. Nice Guy (Alice Cooper). Not bad musically, but Mustaine's voice is like nails on blackboard...

I'm a huge Sting & Police fan and I hate rap, but I must say that the Sean Combs version of 'Every Breath' was very good - he (Sean) put a lot into that song.

The worst cover ever is something I heard on VH1 this morning before work. Turned on VH1 and "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac came on, with the Dixie Chicks singing. They sing horribly, especially this song which was never sung extremely well to begin with.

The Dixie Chicks sing horribly? :reallyodd Can you find another trio out there today that harmonizes nearly as well?

You might nt like their music, but I don't think it's fair to say they can't sing...

Speaking of things that suck - I just listened to Codeseven's cover of Boys of Summer. I left thinking,"What's the point?" :\

EDIT: sorry, forgot you're in a different time zone. :D

What, like a melanoma? I instantly hate ANY song with a 'Chipmunk' vocal.

It's been played to death on a local radio station - every time it comes on at work, I develop a tic in my left eye.

I do, so I will -

They are the single worst-singing trio I've heard in my whole life.

Two of them are fairly decent but one of them has this pitch that is absolutey HORRIBLE, and naturally she does the main parts to the cover of 'Landslide.' Ick!
